TV Launcher brings many live British & Irish TV channels that you know and love into one convenient launcher across Apple platforms. As the perfect app for cord-cutters, it’s never been easier to start watching live channels.

Appleʼs TV app makes it easy to track programmes that have already been on but for the occasions where you want to watch live, it’s not so straightforward. You’ll have to open the app, find where the channels list is within the app, locate the channel you want to watch and the press play.

TV Launcher takes away that pain by combining live channels from across multiple streaming apps into one location. Selecting a channel will then take you directly to the channel in the app without jumping through any hoops!

I’m sure this is fantastic in the UK, but this is pretty poor for Irish users. It only really seems to work with RTÉ Player and NOW TV. It doesn’t even work with the virgin media app. It won’t even open the app on your behalf. It just tells you to leave the app go find virgin media yourself and put on what you’re watching. It’s kind of okay to access the Program guide for everything that you have, but it’s not gonna show you what you need. And it’s not just a virgin app either it’s plenty of other apps that the TV launcher will just fall when you try to watch something. Unfortunately, some of this seems to be by design as per the error message but is not included in any of the information before you actually buy the app. So if you’re okay with this very limited functionality go right ahead but if you are expecting proper integration with all of the Irish apps, then you need to look elsewhere.

Purchased this app to access the tv channels via Apple TV that I already have via my Virgin TV Box. It does not give you anything except shortcuts to other apps from the individual tv channel suppliers such as All4, BBC iPlayer, UKTV etc. It does nothing in itself. None of the channels work for me here (region set to Northern Ireland as Ireland not listed, despite the app being sold here) so it was a total waste of money. It should not be offered as a purchase on an Apple TV box that is set to Ireland as a region. Useless.
