Authy brings the future of two-factor authentication to the convenience of your iPhone or iPad.

The Authy app generates secure 2 step verification tokens on your device. It helps you protect your account from hackers and hijackers by adding an additional layer of security.

Why Authy is the best multi factor authentication app:

 - Secure Cloud Backups:
   Did you lose your device and get locked out of all of your accounts? Authy provides secure cloud encrypted backups so you will never lose access to your tokens again. We use the same algorithm that banks and the NSA use to protect their information.

 - Multi Device Synchronization:
   Are you re-scanning all your QR codes just to add them to your tablet and smartphone? With Authy you can simply add devices to your account and all of your 2fa tokens will automatically synchronize.

I've used authy for mac and it's been awesome to easily copy and paste codes. Now I have to use my handheld device and can no longer just copy and paste but must type in the code. I hope this will be resolved and if not I'll have to find another solution because time is important to me. Those extra minutes it will take me to get my phone, open app and manually type the code is absolutely not what I need in my life.

I made a huge mistake choosing Your product, not because of data breach, because of you are hiding from the users their own seeds, making almost impossible to leave your software behind, or just backup locally. 
If you want to leave authy or authy just fails you you are facing the issue to login to every account and set a new 2FA, because authy wont give your seeds back to help you migrate.  Ty. Never again.

First off all, the setup need a phone number. Security and privacy-wise isn’t that a good thing. Also the app collects that for analysis with the use of Google.

The onboarding process in the app is super creepy. The app automatically recognized my email and then created a Gemini 2FA without me approving it.

This was big red flag for me, for a security app this is a huge privacy invasion. Now I can’t remove the 2FA from Gemini website and I’m waisting my time on support emails. 

Aside from this, the app does what it’s supposed to do token wise, the design is subpar, and the decision to go grid instead of list doesn’t help at all.

Appen er super fin og gør som den skal men jeg synes den mangler et bedre overblik.
Bare det at man kan omdøbe navne og sætte farver er fint men det er kun farven der kommer i hovedfeltet.
Google Authenticator giver et bedre og hurtigere overblik. Og har lidt svært ved de ekstra klik der skal til for at se koden!
Men bortset fra det kan jeg godt lide appen. Bruger dog ikke nogen af siderne hvor man kan Authenticate sig selv med swipe to unlock.
