had lots of hope in this app, the first lesson was easy to follow and overall really good but after the first lesson EVERYTHING is premium. i’m not going to pay for it, so I have to find something else that can at least do a little more.

In the app when you first begin it asks if you would like to start a free trial so you can begin to be able to access 80% of the app in that free trail it stated it would notify you multiple times before it charges you for the 13.99 a month. I signed up for the free trial and a week goes by with no notification. I go to cancel it because I didn’t need it anymore and would you look at that it automatically charged me 139.99 for a yearly subscription that I didn’t want or select and wasn’t notified about. Easiest way for me to never get an app from the company again and will let everyone I know that is trying to learn not to either unless they want to be charged for things they didn’t want and won’t be notified. If there was 0 stars this app would get it

Both during the Black Friday sale and now the winter sale I’ve tried countless times to purchase the year long membership and it always says redemption code not valid. It stinks because I love using this app and I’ve been waiting for the specials to buy an annual membership. I hope they fix before the next supposed sale.

I noticed a problem immediately. When it got to the tuning step it would say I was strumming string 3 every time when I was doing 4 so I couldn't successfully tune it. Even when I strummed string 1 and 2 it still was saying it was 3. The actual steps for teaching how to use a ukelele are good but I can't do much if it isn't tuned and I don't know how. No matter how many times I try tuning string 4 before playing it it always thought it was 3.

I don’t like how you need to have a prescription for premium to play all the songs except for the few. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to unlock them and I am not sure if I have to pay for the premium to get it. The songs sound fun to do, but it won’t let me even when It’s required to do full lesson

But one thing I do like is the personal training videos they actually help me play the ukulele

overall it’s a nice app with thorough lessons, fun games, etc. but there is one glaring flaw: after the first lesson most parts of lessons cost money :/. sure the app needs to profit but locking most of the content behind a pay wall is a turn off. i would understand if it was certain songs and extras under a pay wall, but crucial areas of information?

overall, if you’re okay with buying a membership then it’s a great app.
