## VanMoof Description
Maak optimaal gebruik van je VanMoof met de officiële app.

Hiermee heb je alles wat je nodig hebt bij de hand. Je fiets vergrendelen of ontgrendelen, het accuniveau controleren en zien waar jij je fiets geparkeerd hebt, doe je voortaan gewoon allemaal vanaf je telefoon. Houd de regelmatige updates in de gaten en til je VanMoof-rijervaring naar een hoger niveau.

Wat kun je allemaal met de VanMoof-app doen?
Waar in de app jij je ook bevindt, alles draagt bij aan een zo soepel mogelijke rijervaring:
 
Home
* Je hebt geen sleutels nodig, je fiets herkent jou. Ontgrendel je fiets met alleen een tik of stel een persoonlijke ontgrendelingscode in om je fiets ook zonder telefoon eenvoudig te ontgrendelen.
* Controleer het accuniveau van je fiets (en PowerBank als je die hebt).
*  Bekijk je snelheid, afstand en rijduur op je in-app live dashboard.
* Pas je fietsinstellingen direct aan op het startscherm. Je kunt je motorondersteuning, versnelling, verlichting, belgeluid en andere fietsgeluiden wijzigen.
 
Ritten
* Bekijk elke trip die je maakt aan de hand van een gedetailleerd ritoverzicht.
* Van elke rit kun je zien wat de rijduur, afgelegde afstand en maximale en gemiddelde snelheid was. Daarnaast zie je of je gestopt bent en wat het accuverbruik was.
* Vergelijk jezelf met andere VanMoof-riders in jouw stad en de rest van de wereld.
 
Garage
* Vind al je fietsgegevens, wijzig je fietsinstellingen en bekijk je VanMoof-profiel.
* Deel je fiets met vrienden en familie.
* Geef je fiets als vermist op en stuur de Bike Hunters op pad.
* Zie de huidige locatie van je fiets (als die met het Apple Find My-netwerk werkt).

Sinds de nieuwe update deed mijn verlichting het weer. Hoera! Jammer dat deze weer na 5 minuten weer uitgaat tijdens het fietsen. Niet handig als het donker is.  De instelling staat op ‘automatisch aan’

VanMoof is sinds de overname op de goede weg, mijn VanMoof X3 heeft helaas Error 44, een reparatie in Rotterdam mist nog wel helaas, en weet ook niet hoeveel kosten daar aan verbonden zijn. 
Het is een fijne fiets, alleen als iets niet werkt, dan moet je zelf doen of naar reparatie gaan. 
Ik heb er vertrouwen in.

Since the last firmware update, locking my bike doesnt “hold” the kicklock button: only the alarm is on, the bike is not really locked. I can only solve it to unlock the bike with the app and then lock it again, to have it really locked. Sad that this hasnt been solved.

De verbinding met mijn ‘VanMoof Smart S’ is opeens niet meer te maken. Bluetooth maakt nog wel connectie, maar de software maakt plots geen contact meer. Het alarm is niet meer uit te zetten, waardoor ik niet meer op de fiets kan rijden. Zo te zien heeft VanMoof vandaag haar app totaal veranderd. Tamelijk waardeloos, want nu staat mijn fiets zomaar ergens op straat.

Het gaat nog wat te traag als de gereden rit opgeslagen wordt. Beter zou zijn deze lokaal ( op de telefoon) op te slaan en daarna pas naar de server . Nu parkeer ik de S5 en zie dan geen update van de gereden rit omdat ik te ver weg ben van de fiets.

In the new update, vanmoof adds one tune for the bell. Unfortunately a bug appears. The bell of my bike is always automatically triggered and constantly on as long as I unlock the bike. Hope it can be addressed.

Although the app hasn't always been very obvious, helpful, or bug-free, this last update feels like a final attempt to get the life boat into the waters, before the ship sinks...
And it seems to work, well enough.

Thanks to VanMoof for having built the best bike ever in my life (the S5). This model is the pinnacle – too bad it had to end here.

Jammer dat het zo heeft moeten eindigen. Ik keek altijd uit naar nieuwe updates en features in de app. Wie weet in de toekomst weer!

Een vraag nog: ik kan sinds de laatste update mijn licht niet meer laten knipperen. Zou dit een quick fix kunnen zijn in de app of moet ik deze mooie feature nu voorgoed vaarwel zeggen?

Sinds de laatste update van de firmware en app moet bij elke rit de VanMoof S5 worden gereset omdat de verbinding niet tot stand komt. Ook werkt de lichtbel niet meer ondanks goed ingesteld staan in de app. Jammer omdat er waarschijnlijk geen werk meer wordt verricht aan de software. In feite heeft deze laatste updates mijn VanMoof redelijk waardeloos gemaakt. Helaas - helaas.

The biggest issue I have is application failed to connect. And then I need to restart it. I already gave up on feature when bike unlocks when I am close by: just always using the PIN code. I see that the phone and bike are connected but app does not recognize it. 
Updates are mess: it requires to keep screen on while it’s downloading and uploading an update: are we in 2000x? Why can’t it do this in background and apply when ready. This often fails. Some times bike has an update once a week and I am spending an hour with my phone in garage trying to update the bike. 
Often after update on bike firmware I have to reinstall the app and re-add the bike, or it will not connect.
And because app does not see the bike connected to the phone I do not get notifications about charge and always happy to feel that engine stoped and I have to pedal half way to office.

Never capture the right battery level. Cannot connect to bike even if I’m next to it. The update does not work though followed all the steps. Tried restarting my phone, restarting the app, re-downloading the app. Nothing works. So stupid.
