- Track calories your way, going granular into the details, or not at all
- Restaurant meals and breakdowns, with a dynamic database being updated weekly.
- A rewind function if you’ve gone over your allotted limit to stay on track 
- AI powered chat that is integrated with our restaurant database (requires subscription)
- AI food camera and speed logging to help fill in gaps as an adjunct (requires subscription)
- User generated submissions vetted by professional nutritionists and dietitians that keep the information on the app secure and verified

The 7-day trial feels more like we’re doing their due diligence and testing for them, rather than experiencing a fully functional service. Yet, we’re expected to pay nearly $100 upon expiry, which seems unfair given the current state of the app.

Pros:
- Restaurant menu is outstanding
- AI is excellent as well
- AI chat recommended me better suggestions than expected too
- Direct logging is very convenient

Cons:
- But the actual logging experience from the food data can be improved

The reason for 5 stars is because i trust the team and their mission, this is something that will change nutrition tracking as they improve it in the future.

This is possibly the best bang for your buck when it comes to macros tracking. Whether you’re a serious user (gym junkie like myself) or a layperson who might want to eat healthier and be more conscious of what you eat, Ventrickle has it all. 

Besides the many features such as product barcode scanning and even taking a picture of your meal for AI to tell you how much of what you’re eating, the greatest thing that stands out to me is their mission and purpose.

Ventrickle is built around people, and it shows in both their user interface and marketing. Even if it weren’t the best macro-tracking app out there (which it definitely is), I’d still support a team that genuinely cares about its users—unlike competitors who prioritize profits over people.

The AI assistant has no chat history memory, this is quite a huge downside because every prompt is treated as a fresh prompt. Hope the software engineers are working on this, maybe I could look at the model’s backend if you want.
