## Vinegar Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.

Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!

(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

It works sooooo good, I hope the developer will update in the future. I couldn’t watch on my Ipad anymore because several things didn’t work like it should. Like choosing 1080p (not available regulary). Skipping 10 seconds, black screen during ads and so much more. Vinegar does the job. It’s the first time vinegar makes me smile 😉 Good job developer and many thanks for your work and a reasonable price

… it simply doesn’t work actually. I have setup the app as explained but : 

- Whenever I go to YouTube from Safari I have a black preloaded screen that disables all actions on the page

- When I switch the view to the desktop version of the website and play the video, PiP doesn’t work.
