## Vinegar Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.

Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!

(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

## Vinegar Reviews in Чехия

### ***-- "Good app but"
AirPlay mode doesn’t work. For some time (maybe like a month) AirPlay mode has not worked. I tried a lot, but I can’t get it to work so now I just have to turn off vinegar every time I play yt on Apple TV. If any more clarification is needed I will respondond on my email or anywhere like my instagram:” adamko.sik “. Devs please, I would really like to use this app :)

### ***** "It’s kinda working"
It works… it doesn’t block ads for me but it change the player and that’s good enough
-- pacakon, 2024-03-17

### **--- "Worked well.."
Unfortunately, from the beggining of febuary ads started to show even throug vinegar. Sometimes (1/3) it plays the video but control pannel does not show up - you have to refresh the website..
-- BlazingTŕ, 2024-02-12

### **--- "Глючное расширение для сафари."
Тел при фоновом воспроизведении греется и сажает батарею. Скроллинг не работает. Видео иногда не запускается , приходится перезагружать страницу.
-- 38553пвд, 2023-11-11

### ***** "Perfect!"
It works great on all Apple platforms, has all iOS / macOS features (all of which Google hid behind a paywall). Worth every penny! 🥰
I've tried YouTube Premium and this works much better.
If only it could work on Apple TV.
