## Vinegar Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.

Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!

(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

While the Vinegar extension is great, the Extract extension doesn’t have the audio option available. I think this is a bug.

Will put up to five stars once it’s resolved. I’m more than willing to provide proof to reproduce this issue.

### ***** "It’s probably the best extension you’ll out there"
I really enjoyed using this extension for most of the time but if only the menu bar (vid resolution selection) would work more stable it would be perfect. Sometimes it just disappears and i have to refresh the webpage so that the menu would show up again.

Edit:

Although there are little issues here and there, i really like the fact that the developer of this extension is responsive and in touch with his users.

### ****- "Great BUT…"
I don’t know why it doesn’t continue playing while I’m on the homescreen/lockscreen of my iPhone 13 mini (iOS 16.1.1). It works on my iPad mini 5th generation (15.7) though. Also, both their auto-play function does not work inside/outside Safari. Why is this? (just to clarify… what I meant by my phone not continuing to play is that it stops when I go to the homepage. I always have to swipe down (control center) then tap the play button COMPARED to the iPad that never stops. I simply just want my phone to do the same. Hope you could help, thank you. EDIT: Thank you so much! You rock!

This is one of the best Safari extension I’ve ever bought. All my issues were already fixed.

### ****- "Working now,  but…"
I don’t know how it got broke but I can’t see the progress bar, resolutions, I have the show toolbar enabled. Does this conflict with other content blocker? Because ads keep showing.

Edit: It’s working now, seems doesn’t work when Request Desktop Website On is enabled. Updated now to 2.1.2, will check if some ads will pop.

### ****- "Work perfectly on my iPad. On my iPhone not so"
In my iPad, I can use it very well. I can do pip and select the video resolution I want. But for the iPhone, it just shows blank when I choose the always allow. Am I doing something wrong?
