## Vinegar Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.

It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality.

Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!

(Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)

## Vinegar Reviews in Испания

### *---- "it doesn’t work"
The only advantages of the app is that if there’s an ad at the beggining the video doesn’t reproduce and that you avoid the ads inside the video. You have to refresh the page until there is no ad. It doesn’t save the timestamp either.
-- dezinblxxm, 2024-10-14

### ***** "Una de las mejores apps"
Convierte la visualización de YouTube en la interfaz que se merece, minimalista, práctica y sin anuncios molestando

Vale cada céntimo que cuesta
-- Alvaroperis15, 2024-10-07

### **--- "It doesn't seem to work for me."
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work for me. Not only does it sometimes show me ads but the WHOLE ad so I can't even skip it after 5 seconds. I wish it worked or someone could give me a hand. I have two icons on safari next to the address bar but with no practical use. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?
-- MJJ@125, 2024-09-29

### ***** "best ~2€ expended"
I’m so grateful to the developer or developers of this app, please continue with this amazing work
-- Leonauditore, 2024-09-16

### ****- "Sería perfecta si los subtítulos volviesen a funcionar"
Los subtítulos dejan de funcionar
-- tcosistemas, 2024-07-15
