Med Student here from Ph. Definitely love the app. I use this side by side with Margin Notes 3 and Anki for my study flow. Love it’s natural voice and all the features, especially just the recently added colors for highlighting. Really enhances learning and time management through audio learning and duration time stamp.

For room for improvements though:
1. Allow reader to utilize writing (marking) in the document (through apple pencil, will be very helpful aside from the highlight function)
2. Allow for creation of subfolders within a folder (I find my self scrolling for long list of folders for study materials, e.g. By Subject, Modules, Lessons has different folders)
3. This is quite a very difficult suggestion but if you can incorporate flashcards / clozed words features aligned with Anki would be a very great boost, you may check Margin Notes on how they do it if you’re interested in pursuing it, so that this maybe an all in one study app too.

Warning: You won’t be able to change the voice you choose from “acapella” at the start when setting up the app. After which, you have to buy voices from acapella or just use the free voices from iOS. Sad that I did not know this before.

Wishlist: To be able to read highlighted text in other apps or websites without the need to import files or copy to clipboard, e.g. to be able to use Voice Dream while using other apps, e.g. read from Goodnotes, Flexcil, etc. by having a “Speak via Voice Dream” option when highlighting text.
[IF YOU KNOW OF AN APP THAT DOES THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! 🙏🏾 Thank you!]

### ***** "Excellent Product/Service!"
As a former developer of speech synthesis at the phoneme level for 30+ years before I completely lost my vision, this product makes great use of text-to-speech dictionaries that I helped build over the decades. At first, I thought this product was a replacement for the iOS built-in VoiceOver screen reader, and then I rediscovered it as my hypothetical childhood dream when my computer life began in 1982 in terms of software development. Over the decades, I have been an alpha/beta tester for third-party speech synthesizers. So, when I heard the synthesis of the acapela voices in Voice Dream Reader, I was overwhelmed of how speech synthesis systems has greatly improved just over the past decade!

As for customer service, I give an A+ for helping me understand what this Voice Dream reader app is all about, as well as, fixing a minor technical problem in a timely manner.

Starting off, I began reading at 180 words per minute, and then, gradually increased to 460 words per minute, however, I quickly realized I was running out of eBooks to read! So, I went down to 220 words per minute for all voices. Instead of 2 to 3 eBooks a day, I changed my goal to 2 to 3 eBooks per month.

In addition, listening to eBooks with Voice Dream reader helps me sleep BETTER, despite the product was never designed to be a sleep-aid.

As a lifelong developer of speech synthesis systems, now retired, I highly recommend this product for those that are visually-impaired or totally blind, as the non-VoiceOver voices sound much better!

Wish list:
1. Pdf icon to show the first page, similar to iBooks. 
2. Synchronization across devices
3. Page width or zoom retention when moving to next page of pdf.
4. Retain layout for ePub.
5. Windows PC version, I am willing to pay again.
6. Improved pronunciation for similarly spelled words.

### ***** "This is an amazingly affordable audiobook"
Ebook reader had never been this great and fun. I enjoyed reading books using this app and of course listening to almost real, professional-like storyteller of my choice. I have a lot of fun every time i use this app. I love writing and saving it in dropbox. And it can read any text or epub files from my this cloud. I would also love it if it automatically update the books or text downloaded from dropbox so i will not have to download it over and over again. But overall i am giving 5 stars for the usefulness of this app in my everyday life.

### ***** "BEST IN THE STORE"
This is the only text-to-speech app that has Bookmark, Open-In, Search, Share, Editing and copy/paste, Background play (even when locked!) even when you're using another app! Plus having to organize all of the audios in folders... I've tried everything else and they all sum up to just this one! 

Don't waste money with the other apps like i did, trust me.
