I normally love my watch but the latest update has made some small changes that I really don’t like.

For example, the timer app no longer keeps your most frequently used times at the top - this was great for timing tests on my workouts, now worse than it was, please put it back the way it was.

I have 2 old series 2 watches, which I have been using for a few years, I use the ‘now playing’ to control music playback on my phone, so I don’t have to keep pulling the phone out just to change song, adjust volume… but since updating my phone to iOS 18 (I skipped 17..) the now playing doesn’t work at all with the phone! It doesn’t even show up, I have tried resetting the watches, and the phone to no avail. Playing music that is on the watch works fine, just the phone playback isn’t recognised any more. Very annoying as it’s a feature I used a lot! I know the watches are old, but there was no need to stop them working!!! I won’t be replacing them with newer models, not worth it. Apple products are going to the dogs these days, not repairable, forced obsolescence, untested software updates that break more things than they fix!!

Why allow it on iOS 15 if it can’t be used to setup an Apple Watch? Wasting my time unlinking a watch loaned to me from work, backing up iPhone, about to update to iOS 15 but thankfully didn’t as had a spare iPhone SE running iOS 15 and saw that it wouldn’t work with it. More planned obsolescence Apple? Bad show! 🙄
