Turn meetings, lectures and interviews into notes you can check and use. Whisper Notes transcribes while you record. Afterwards, find a passage, hear it again and keep the important parts within reach.

One purchase, no subscription. Record your own audio or import a supported file, then keep the transcript, key points and exports together.

SEE WORDS AS YOU RECORD
Follow live transcription in a full-screen view. Pause and resume recording when you need a break. Choose the spoken language or use automatic detection, then re-transcribe saved audio if you need a different language setting.

FIND THE MOMENT THAT MATTERS
Switch between a continuous reading view and timestamped passages. Mark important passages, copy a single passage or search within a note. With saved audio and timestamps, tap a passage to listen, change playback speed or jump 10 seconds forward or back. Where a summary has a matching source quote, open that passage to check the context.

TRANSCRIBE ON YOUR DEVICE
Speech recognition runs locally without sending audio to a transcription server. A basic model is included; optional model downloads require internet. Once the model is available, recording and transcription can work offline. Choose a model to balance speed, storage and recognition quality on your device.

TURN A TRANSCRIPT INTO USEFUL NOTES
• Edit note titles, the full transcript or timestamped segments
• Search saved titles, transcripts and summaries
• Generate or regenerate a local summary
• Review timed passages alongside retained audio

Summary methods depend on your device, system and language. Apple Intelligence is used when available; otherwise local methods extract key passages. The app shows which method produced the result. Review transcripts and summaries before relying on them.

Capture audio on Apple Watch and send it to iPhone for transcription. Start recording through widgets, Siri or App Shortcuts. Follow recording progress with Live Activities and Dynamic Island on supported devices and system versions.

Import selected audio from Files or compatible apps through the Share menu. Copy or share text, export Markdown notes, create SRT subtitles from timed segments, or export an OPML outline.
