WIDEX EVOKE

EN: I have never dreamt of a hearing aid that can connect directly to an iPhone. This became true and with its second-gen Fusion 2 model (after Beyond), Widex brings one more crucial function. This is called SoundSense Learn and it works like a charm. Whenever I find myself in a less than optimal soundscape, I can tweak the aids to a better sound and save this setting. Awesome! And you can consult the audiologist, show him or her the equalizer to optimally set your aids. Saves a lot of frustration! Pros + Direct connection to an iPhone that doesn’t drop + High quality streaming sound + Changing presets even while streaming + SoundSense Learn - EDIT: After an update, this feature is improved. + Equalizer, adjusting R/L volume individually + Saving presets as another programs + Equalizer is accessible even when streaming from a DEX accessory (eg. UNI-DEX) + As streaming ends, the aids return to the program you used right before streaming Cons - It takes a little time when you return back from streaming mode to normal mode and are able again to select your favourite program. Sometimes this confuses the aids and they need to be restarted. Once done, everything is fine. - Impossible to stream audio directly from the Apple Watch, it only acts as a remote control for settings and music on the iPhone nearby. Apple Watch EVOKE app does not work outside of iPhone’s reach. - With two iOS devices and two EVOKE apps, there is no interchanging SoundSense data between them. I use my iPhone EVOKE app as a default one. Sometimes, when my iPad is nearer and takes over the connection to my aids, it automatically adjusts volume (usually turns my aids lower without my approval, I hear just beeps in my aids announcing volume change). I have not come with a workaround so I have decided to keep the app just in my iPhone because I want consistent sound adjustments and not hearing aid adjustments according to what is saved within the EVOKE app on the device used... But it looks like it’s bound to iOS settings because the iPad without EVOKE app overtook the connection and adjusted the volume... Nejde se připojit,kde je problém? Mám sluchadla Evoke F2.

I have used this app and enjoyed it for several years… works great. Now the aids won’t connect to my phone. A fix is needed… quickly

The battery life function is useless. The app indicates full battery power right up until the batteries go dead.

Part of what you pay for when you buy a pair of widex hearing aids is the app. And as you can see from the responses to the app it’s a waste of time and money. Half the time my aids don’t connect at all with the app.

All the complaints in these reviews are true. I like many things about the hearing aids but can’t use the app for navigating as others say. And why have the option of creating programs if the aids revert to default after a few minutes? I’ve used Widex for years but these problems make me question even considering them when I need a new pair. Disappointing for $5,000 hearing aids.

I updated to newest iPhone and lost control of app The hearing aid works on Bluetooth on phone calls Sound is no longer available on video or iTunes. The iphone locates the aid when doing the above but no sound comes through When activating the app it no longer holds the selection I need to reset the app every time I use it I called and support did not help just said to do things that I normally do such as pairing deleting the app and restoring. I’ve been pleased with EVOKE for 22 month however since I upgraded my IPAD 8th gen to IOS 15.5 I’ve had repeated problems connecting to my aids. IOS Control Panel says connected but Evoke App says No Hearing Aids Connected. I should add I’ve used my aids with both my IPAD and my iPhone 8 and they have switched between devices easily in the past. Now I have to reboot my iPad every time I go from iPhone to iPad. Maybe EVOKE needs in upgrade?

Sound sense won't save. I am frustrated with this app.
