I loved this app when i first got it - 2 years ago. I use it for x4 plugs (lamps). 

In the past few months the app randomly tells me my devices are ALL offline.

Even when I manually activate the smart plug, the app fails to register the item, rendering the app useless.

One hour ago I woke ip & used the app to switch on my bedroom lamp and a lamp in my living room. When I returned to bed after dropping my children to school training, the wiz app told me all of my plugs were offline!!!

No matter how many times I switch wifi on/off or reset phone, the app won’t connect to the devices.

I have the most recent version of the app installed. I don’t know why such a brilliant product is now completely unreliable.

Very disappointing.

The app is slow. Not well set out. I have recently switched phones and now I can’t seem to get the lights to connect to the app properly without it constantly crashing. I’d buy other smart lights.

We’ve got +£200 of bulbs that are as functional as £20 worth of bulbs. 

The does not work. It simply gives a message saying “Unknown issue occurred Something went wrong, please try again.” That’s it. That’s literally all it does. Open the app, count to 7, then that dialogue box comes up. App freezes at that point.

It is terrible to find out that the new version actually doesn’t include add to Siri on scenes and it’s not working with voice control, which is a step back not to step forward. Terrible decision.

After 4 hours of trying to set up my new light bulb, I’m giving up. I spent 4 hours on chat with the support team who tried to help me but it ended up with them suggesting to do some very advanced wifi settings, which isn’t how it should be for a simple smart bulb. Then they ended up saying that something had not been updated from their side, apparently pushed the update and told me to wait for 30 minutes after which it still didn’t work.
£15 wasted, but I will try to return this back to store tomorrow and just buy a regular bulb.
Please don’t tell me to contact support team as I’ve already done it and they couldn’t help me

I saw the notification to move to the new app many times (which worked perfectly), now I’ve moved to the new app, it just says ‘Unknown error occured’ to anything I do at the bottom of my screen. I can change the colour of the light and stuff but I cannot create new scenes or anything automatic because when I click save it just says there was an error. Keep in mind this happens to EVERY BUTTON regardless whether they work or not AND EVERY TIME i try to click something. It is annoying and the initial app was 100x times better and never had enough, if any, issues to create a new app.

App is much less clear to use than previous version. When these apps are primarily used for control and security they really to have a better and clearer UI.
Vacation mode is also not fit for purpose. It has no control to allow for different time zones. So it can be dark outside at 5pm in the UK winter but vacation mode won’t switch anything on until after 6:30pm!

### *---- "Philips smart bulbs - Disappointing functionality"
Having used other providers like tapo I was used to automations such as ‘turn off light in 5 minutes’ and other more comprehensive features, so was understandably disappointed when buying such a well known brand like Phillips and finding such a basic app for controls. Also, my scheduled brightness automation didn’t work. Will avoid Philips smart bulbs in future sadly.

The previous app worked perfectly, but this new one is awful. It doesn’t sync as it should, works only when it feels like it, and when it does, it’s painfully slow and doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! A lightbulb moment is needed (but don’t use the app, because it won’t work💡) to make those responsible realise this app needs to be replaced or given a serious update.

Got a setup with lights and motion sensor but I don’t need lights coming on during daylight hours. I can change the definition of daylight hours month by month as the seasons change but I shouldn’t need to. Please add the ability for sensing times to be based around sunrise/sunset times (with optional user-defined offset) and I’ll add the lights to the rest of the house.
