This app is doing a lot to help me learn the Thai abugida/alphabet. I use it and Quizlet together to learn the characters and what their names mean (i.e., ก: gai = chicken; ข: kai = egg; ฆ: rakhang = bell, etc.) and I feel like I'm finally starting to get a foothold on the Thai writing system. I can study at my own pace, and choose to push myself a little in order to really drill it in, and that's really working for me. Bravo and thank you very much to the developer(s)!

The audio combined with the ability to actually quiz yourself odd actually way more fun for me to learn especially the basics sounds and become familiar with them. The Thai letters somehow look like a picture of how they sound. It’s not too picky about thumb drawing being exactly correct but if it have the right directional movement they’ll give it to you🙃 if you’re totally off then it’ll eventually give you a hint to draw the answer and will count it against you. A little repetition goes a long way!

I love this app. It has been an invaluable tool for learning the Thai alphabet. The only issue is this latest update has a very bad bug where the audio prompts will not play when switching to a new character or be so delayed the sound plays over the next character reveal. Please fix this bug to make the app functional again.  Thank you!

I love the basic functionality of writing practice, which also (especially with the audio) really helps with learning the huge alphabet. A few suggestions for improvement:

— the vowels are incomplete as of July 2023. There seems to be a lot missing when one compares the content here to a standard Thai vowel chart. 

— as another reviewer said, I think it would be useful to have the vowels taught by the sound: sara ah, sara ee, etc. for most of them. This seems to be how they are taught in many books and videos. But I am not sure how to deal with the characters for which the character names are themselves important. And I appreciate that the app does teach some of that. It’s difficult to get it all in one app, I imagine. 

— I agree with the reviewer who suggested indicating the class of consonants so the tone implications can be learned at the same time 

— and maybe include the tone-changing marks and their names? (Somewhat advanced but would make this app even more impressive)

— At a much more basic level, it would be very helpful to include in the text the Thai meanings of the consonant names so we can learn like Thai children do: ก ko kai k as in chicken, ศ so sala s as in pavilion, ษ so ruesi s as in hermit, etc.  

All that said, this is a quite helpful app.

Hyphenated words selection is poor so you end up waisting your time. 
Example the Thai consonant for chicken is written Ko Kai, most others will use gaw gai. 
Thai consonant for plate is written Cho Chan when most others use jaw jaan. 
Thai consonant for horse White It only has Mo Ma when others use a much better maw maa. 
Purchased this to learn incorrectly…

The app helps you memorize how to trace the thai letters, But it doesn't teach you them. I used your Write it! Korean, And it helped me learn Hangul, But this app would help a lot more if it told you the actual letter instead of kho kai or the other prons.

This is the first Thai app I’ve found that is successfully helping me learn the letters of the Thai alphabet. Others just show you the letters and expect them to stick, but this breaks them down into smaller groups and has you trace each one which really helps with retention.
