XCOM®: Enemy Within is a standalone expansion to the 2012 strategy game of the year XCOM: Enemy Unknown and it's now available on iOS devices!  Enemy Within features the core gameplay of Enemy Unknown plus more exciting content. Check out the new soldiers, abilities, enemies, maps, missions, and multiplayer mode for the fresh new strategy gaming experience!

• New Soldier Abilities: Build new base facilities to unlock unearthly new capabilities for XCOM’s soldiers. The Genetics Lab will allow soldiers to receive powerful genetic modifications, and the Cybernetics Lab allows soldiers to use devastating mechanized cybersuits in battle.

• New Weapons and Equipment: Give your operatives an extra tactical edge with new projects from your engineering team and the Foundry.

• New Enemy Threats: Adopt new tactics to counter the threats from two new alien types and a deadly new organization known as EXALT.

• New Strategic Resource: A valuable new alien resource, known as Meld, has been discovered. Secure it on the battlefield, research a new technology to unlock its power, and use it carefully back at base to unlock new upgrades and weaponry.

• New Story Elements: Investigate a terrifying threat in an abandoned fishing village, and defend the XCOM headquarters from alien attack in a series of new plot-driven missions.

• New Multiplayer maps, units, and abilities: Create your custom squad from a wider array of options and dominate your opponent in intense, one-on-one, turn-based matches.

This is by far the worst game I have ever played.
Every two seconds the tutorial softlocks somehow, forcing me to reload the game to try something else only to be soft locked again. I don't know what's causing it and I can't even play the game properly because of it. Literally unplayable.

I just started the tutorial and finished it and got to the HQ. I had to promote the first solider but decided to change his name. I get kicked out. I am on a IPhone 15. It says it is compatible but the bugs persist. Please help. 

Not just that solider but the whole squad I can not rename. Please release a bug fix or an update.

Game runs well. 2024 running a iPhone 11 Pro iOS 17.3. The only reason the star is missing is because the sound effect of the fire I think bugs the game where it can have a static sound and person in XCOM I like the footstep aspect and the subtle sounds to let you know a character could be close but it doesn’t ruin the game you can play with music in the background if you’d like. All the basics of XCOM are there plus some extras. XCOM2s story is better but for $4.99 on the App Store you’ll be able to get your bang for your Buck.

- Minor Bug List
• Static on Levels with Fire
• Grapple On Top of White Moving Van with Maxed Sniper w/ double Tap, next move Shoot Once, any monster that tries to intimidate you you after your shoot it and don’t kill it locks your second action, have to reload game.

Seems like a fun game, except the menus don’t work in several areas. During combat in the second mission, I got stuck in an action menu with no way to go “back.” So I just had to launch an RPG right in my face. Then, at the base after the mission, I clicked into the engineering room and there’s no way to exit. 

I’m sure this game is fun, but they haven’t ported it in a playable manner to mobile.
