## Xero Verify Description
This is the official authentication app developed by Xero Ltd. It's free to use, and Xero will never charge you for it.

At Xero, protecting your data is fundamental to everything we do. Just one easily guessed password can stop your business in its tracks. So Xero has put an extra deadbolt on the door to help keep your data secure.


This is why Xero uses MFA to secure logins. It significantly reduces the risk of someone gaining access to your account, even if they've managed to obtain your email and password through a phishing attack or malware.


The Xero Verify app is simple to use. You can receive push notifications for fast authentication, instead of having to open the app and enter a code into Xero when you login. Simply accept the notification on your device's home screen - it's that easy.


Features:

* Sign into your Xero account using push notifications on your device (if enabled).

* Generate six digit verification codes, even if you don't have a network or mobile connection.

* Use Xero Verify to authenticate your Xero account (it can't be used on other products outside Xero)

* Easy set up using QR code

Please make it go away. Doesn’t work properly, and just makes running Xero from my phone take longer and be more frustrating. I was talked into using Xero because it was supposed to be easy, and it used to be mostly easy, this stupid authenticator app is making it hardly worth it.

If you break a phone and change from Samsung to iPhone the App will not recognise your new phone even though you have the same phone number from the same internet provider. 
My Certified Accountant who put me onto Xero and they cannot fix this. 
Locked out of my system at end of month invoicing time  GGRRR!

I have messaged Xero and they keep telling me to do the same thing……. Which I cannot do!!

I really dislike Xero forcing me to use an app to authenticate. Why can’t you send me a sms code or email like everyone else does. If I was choosing an accounting software again, this is a deal breaker for me. I will no longer recommended Xero.

I hate that I had no choice in this. And there was no step by step process to add an authentication via my computer instead. 

I don’t want to have to have my phone on me when doing my accounts. And I should be able to have the choice of choosing a secure password over two factor authentication  through an app - and not even the Xero app but another one.
