Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner

This app doesn’t want rate sugar. They make note, that they doesn’t know how to rate it. Really!? What happened??? You forgot how you rated many many other product? Whats your problem? Just rate it as 0 of 100, as we knew that its most worsted food on the planet. Now they also said that Citric Acid is fine. But citric acid made from Black Mould and its creates problems with stomach. Reason is - Government said its fine to eat it. And it using often. Whata stupid comment. Now government want feed us with flies and worms. Sure that Yuka will accept it too. Not because its good for humans, but because government said You must eat it. Have to delete this app immediately. * real name of Citric Acid must be Mould Acid, because its made from Mould but not from Lemon as most of us think.

I’ve had the app 4 days so have checked some items I already had in my cupboard. I have items I definitely will not be buying again and will be using the more healthier alternatives. Food shopping tomorrow and will definitely be using to help me make better choices for my families health. Thank you so much.

This app is brilliant it’s so simple to use and extremely quick, after scanning an item the results come up instantly! It then shows you the quality of the item and then what bits are good or bad and suggests a better alternative. We were all running around looking for the items we use daily eager to scan them to see the results, the best part is it’s free to use, there is a paid option which lets you search and compare items you don’t have at hand but honestly what a fantastic app to have if you are looking to lose weight or just lead a healthier lifestyle!

I think this the first app review I’ve ever bothered to write. It’s what the internet and smartphones do best: incredible knowledge, delivered in a useful way to help you live better.

I really like Yuka it’s so handy before buying products I only use it for hair and skincare products and it’s amazing to see what ur putting on your skin

Bizarre ratings on food. Some highly processed Quorn mini fillets made from cultured mould and with additives such as firming agents, came out as excellent! A jar of organic extra virgin coconut oil came out as poor! Bacon without nitrates or additives also came out as poor. Tyrells crisps which are made with inflammatory toxic seed oils came out as very good! Foods high in calories are marked down, even though calories does not indicate a healthy or unhealthy food. Likewise food high in saturates is heavily marked down, representing out dated science. Seems like the app is pushing an agenda and doesn't understand proper nutrition. Also, for those of us trying to avoid emf radiation (and we all should be) the app only allows you to use it offline if you pay a subscription. So the poorer people can get irradiated.

The app I have been looking for! It is incredibly helpful in understanding all the additives that are in everyday items. 100% recommend it.
