Zipcode: The Address Finder

I’ve used this app for while and like its simplicity, but unfortunately the accuracy seems to have diminished. House numbers are incorrect and sometimes the same house number is given for three properties. Hope this can be resolved.

Since my review a few days ago, the latest update has fixed the crash problem and behaves as I would expect! Well done, except that it behaves differently on iPad and iPhone. On the iPad, when the location point is, for example on a building the address of that building is displayed and as you move the map so the display changes to show the locale. This display does not occur on the iPhone. Note both my iPad and iPhone are running ios 16.7.6.

Would give 5 stars as it does what you want it to do but would give 5 stars if there was a search option on postcode. It sometimes is very hard to find a road if your not too sure where the road is in the town or city

This is brilliant. With the Royal Mail official postcode finder (only available for iPad not iPhone), you have to enter the address to get the postcode. But what if you don’t know the address, you just know where the house is? With this app, you get a zoomable map with a brown dot in the middle. Scroll and zoom the map until you locate the house you’re looking for, centre it on the brown dot, wait a few seconds and you get both address & postcode displayed. Couldn’t be more simple. I checked a few postcodes on the Royal mail app and it’s spot on correct. With a block of flats you just get the address & postcode of the whole block so you need to know the flat number, but for separate properties it works just fine.

Very difficult to use all I want is a postcode and a blue spot just wanders around the phone with no control stranger

Gives wrong postcode for road let alone individual address. Student project only
