I’ve seen a recent trend of software where the best way to describe them is using the word “craft” much in the same way that word is used in other areas like producing beer, furniture, etc. It’s software where you see that the makers truly care about what they are making. I’ve only used this product for one day, but I can’t wait to use it more. What a wonderful product experience. Hopefully Tyler continues to build on this. The world needs more craft software.

It’s nice being able to get a summary of the news so quickly and concisely, without all of the distractions or added fluff. I also like the little summary at the top of each day because its a helpful little primer for what you will read. I like this app! It would be helpful if the specific dates/times of the events in question were ALWAYS included with the summaries of the news events to ensure transparency through and through. Quill must prove to users that there is no bribery involved in its journalism practices, from all of the sources it uses, to maintain a steady stream of people who trust it enough to use it regularly. Consider the types of people who might want to use this app in the first place, and why. Many sectors are currently ripe with financial coercion, as proven by recent events, the droves of weekly whistleblowers, and other publicized leaks. Although bribery and coercion have always existed in one place or another, it’s important that the utmost measures are taken to ensure that it isn’t being used HERE. These journalists herein could, realistically, be coerced into providing skewed information at any time. This is something that MUST be considered for an app like this, which claims intentions to “cut out misleading fluff” and simplify the obtainment of important news information. It would be preferable to have the option in choosing which news sources are being utilized and pulled from, while also ensuring that the distribution of news source opinions reflects the true distribution of opinions as they occur globally. An additional visual (or even graphical) analysis of each article would be beneficial. Specifically one that identifies (or ideally quantifies) the associated opinions of the parties referred to in each article, those of the writers of the article, AND those of the journalists’ employers most importantly.

The political climate has seemed to have gotten more and more divergent now that it’s easier than ever for many news headlines to reach mass amounts of viewers. Many of which showing bias, omitting crucial information, and pushing agendas. It’s incredibly hard nowadays to find unbiased news that allow you to form your own opinion. This app has exactly that—unbiased, concise news that brings you the basic information you need to think for yourself. All free of charge! This is something we’ve needed for a long time. Thank you for bringing this to us. If I had any suggestions for this app, it’d be to add a way for users to show their support via tips/donations. You deserve it!
