I have my account since 1Password was a pay once and works for ever type of app and software. Now they are forcing me to pay for monthly and don’t give me proper support.
There was a time when this app was an absolute no-brainer to recommend (best in class). Every time a cloud based password manager like LastPass would be breached I could just laugh knowing my stuff was safely out of the cloud and securely encrypted on my devices. Unfortunately years ago 1Password management decided that this model had no future, and the path forward was to base everything in the cloud - which users could rent access to via subscription instead of a software license purchase, with the primary focus on enterprise. There is no good alternative to the old versions of this software (1Password 7, etc) and of course I can’t recommend “legacy” platforms which are no longer supported. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, your best bet is to get used to the built-in Passwords app and let your memory of 1Password (and the more civilized era it inhabited up through version 7) fade from your memory like your high school crush (trust me, you don’t want to see what they look like now).
Practical, secure and reliable! Good job!
I change the “master password” but now it is not recognized nor is the old one. Am I screwed?
the app without notice. I no longer can view all of my Stored logins and passwords. I am upset and angry! How can I protect the information I have stored????
Instructions send you in circles never giving you an answer
I had this app for a very long time. I can store all my password securely. Easy access and don’t need to worry about remembering all my passwords. It’s a life saver for me. Highly recommend this app for saving your login information .
Frustrates my wife. Refuses face too often. Does not work the same each time. Both ID and password should be filled each time 1Password is selected to fill. In most cases it requires too many back and forth actions.
Awesome product, integrations are easy and it’s super secure!
