Far too complicated and too much information required to order a coffee !

I’m sat in a shop here in Birmingham and I see the QR code to order a coffee to my table. I go about it the same way as every other time I do this, open the camera, click the link, dillyding dillydong, coffee is ordered. Except here they demand I use an app for that. Fine, I download it. I open it and it wants me to create an account. No, I just want a coffee so I click Skip. I tap the “Order At Table” button where it tells me I must have an account. No, I don’t need an account. I don’t need an account if I walk in an order at the counter. I’m 4 meters away from the counter and now suddenly I need an account? No. Not today.

This process is absolutely ridiculous. Why isn’t there not an option to order normally? And why is there a need to download an app, make an account and having to provide so many details? Took over 10 minutes to do all this just for a coffee!

Love this place, great that they have an outdoor space for when I have the dog. Lovely friendly staff. Most important, excellent coffee!

Really badly written iOS app. It should handle UI changes asynchronously but it doesn't. So when the network is slow, nothing happens and then all of a sudden ten actions happen at once. Also they offer free WiFi to sign up with but it just wastes your time and then spams your email. Also also, was offered free coffee for registering but then after doing so was told they don't do that offer and more.

Although this app is convenient to use, it has one very annoying error. There is always an issue when I order multiple items. They always bring over the coffee but if I order anything additional they never bring it over. Kind of beats the convenience of ordering at the table if you always have to chase it go at the till.

Rubbish

The app is ok but it’ll be great to have the loyalty card via Apple wallet. It’s quite annoying having to open the app every single time.

Food options greyed out even when they’re obviously available. Food from app order was ignored, had to chase it up 30 mins later. Only about 50% of the time have I been able to order what I want in the app, and received it in a timely manner!
