They do not seem to care at all to return my emails and to do something about my simple request to just have my new email added to my membership profile so I can use my 23andme account. My membership was paid in Early January yet I cannot use my account and information. I have contacted 23andme a number of times. I have signed a form and sent in government issued ID with photo. They said I had to send in these two things. They just keep telling me the same thing over and over again with no intentions of getting back to me or adding my new email. We are too busy, too many people contacting us, we will prioritize your request with customer care. My old email has been deleted by me for it was hacked. 23 and me sends you security codes, but to my old email. Of course I can not get to them, so I can not enter my 23andme account or information. Sad! I am not happy at all with this level of not caring about your members.
It’s a promising move, but so far whatever algorithm/AI is being used it appears to be missing that my Ancestors with the last nam Rudnicki (male), and Rudnicka (female) are not the same as Riding, even though most letters are the same (except for ‘g’, and the letters order in the spelling of the surname
23and Me has the opposite findings of myself than another DNA site I am with. They are stating info from thousands of years ago, which NOT even close to my ancestors. Pleas bd very careful with this site. They are assuming through viewing your photo. I do not have such features nor does any one on my family. Our family members has gone back to early 1400’s with published books of our family and a manuscript that I have of our rich history. I have the original which was written my mother’s brother in the early 1500. I share it with my students. This fits has false findings. Made up history. Not even a one star rating. My opinion.
The results are surprisingly accurate! All my family history matches the dna results!
Who’s going to pay $99 a year for an app they open maybe twice year?!?! You’re running this company into the ground because you don’t understand the lack of value-add that Premium provides to your customers. As an investor who lost their shirt on your stock, I am ticked off at how off-the-mark your subscription model is. You will never recover at this rate. Go for volume. $12/yr is way more reasonable.
The 23 and me information is so accurate it’s scary. I have difficulty in understanding how a little bit of saliva can divulge so much about a person. I really enjoy the 23 and me reports and look forward to receiving more as the technology improves so that I can find out more about myself and how my body has been created.
It’s not working. It won’t connect me to a live agent
When I first signed up for 23andMe, it was because it was a one-time fee for the DNA test, and everything worked. Since then, they have introduced premium paywalls, locking out a lot of the previously free features, and now have increased the yearly fee to access these features to $99 per year, up from $29 per year initially, $0 per year previous to 2020.
Starting to feel like this whole thing is more of a money grab than anything.
