3D Scanner App

There is a severe lack of information on this app, the tutorial takes you to you tube which just shows someone scanning a bear but nothing about what to do with the image. It also seems erratic as to whether it will scan after you push the record button and the phone needs powering off and on to get it to work. Also where does the image get exported to? I can’t find it on my lap top and you don’t get an option of where to export it to like you do with ScandyPro. Shame because the image is really good. Oh and no reply when you email

Trying to use but app doesn’t tell my iPhone it’s in use so the phone goes to sleep while in use. Also tried to save my mesh but it froze up. Had much better experiences with other 3d scan apps

Firstly the app uses the rear facing camera with no way to switch, so it’s really difficult to use with the rear facing camera. I also spent hours attempting to get one decent 3D image with no success. I could not find any online information and app has very limited functions.

Following the instructions as per the video on Vimeo, this still does not work. If you hit rescan it does nothing as the previous scan is shown again. The times fo scans are completely random. Simply does not work.

The app “capture” works exactly the same (and even has a better UI) but is free! Very disappointing to have to pay £5 for this

Bought the app and then realised that my phone doesn’t support it. Forgive me for my lack of investigation into this prior to buying, but I thought that the App Store would block purchases of things that my phone won’t support! Waste of money!!

Looked at the video online, have a decent iPhone with lots of spare storage... though despite recording all of an object once finished it only displays half?!? Therefore isn’t fit for purpose don’t get it till they resolve the 50% issue...

I have absolutely not idea how this got 5 stars. First scan was a bit dodgy so I tried again only to get a preview of the first scan. Tried again and again only to keep getting the same preview of the first unwanted scan. I had to exit the app each time to try a new scan. Sometimes I got 3 seconds to scan. Sometimes I got 10 seconds. Sometimes just 1 second. It is so inconsistent and never enough to do an actual scan. The fact the true depth scanner is on the front it means to do a scan of an object you have to hole it away from you so you have no idea if and when it stops scanning due to the timing out issue. There’s also no way to edit out the background that may have accidentally been scanned. Certainly not worth £4.99 and should be free as it’s just a gimmick and doesn’t work properly at all. I’ve emailed the support team about the issues and requested a refund from Apple.
