Like any great product, it’s a work in development! We have reached and I say we because I am part of this growth too and honored.

Love the concept. Great customer service

This app just does not reliably work on my iPhone 7. Great customer service and support. Love the concept. Needs work for older iPhones. Maybe works well on their own degoogled androids. I’m sorry I couldn’t use it. Maybe in a couple years it will be better

Not able to get my number ported

I’m on my 4th call with my current provider because they aren’t liking the information on the port request although it is all accurate Main problem is there is no one to actually “talk” with only email communication at Volta Need better customer service I don’t think most people would change to Volta wireless if it’s this complicated Very disappointed Schatzi07

It’s an awful service.

It doesn’t work well. What’s more, I’m getting the sense that it’s a honeypot, designed by glowies to trap those so demonized by the current marxist administration. When I say it doesn’t work well, I’d like to clarify: it works really poorly. Even if it weren’t a glowing honeypot, I would ditch the service. I wanted things to work out—I liked the pitch, but even if it were legitimately an organization honestly attempting to deliver on their promises, I would leave the service at this point. I’ve had their coverage for about two months. Two occasions, in that time, occurred in which the service failed. The first time took more than a week to fix. The second time was quicker, but twice I simply stopped having a phone number, stopped having a data connection, the ability to message. And then, after they fixed the issue the first time, the tech helped who had helped me started asking details about my personal life—by email. And he didn’t explain how they were relevant at all to the previously mentioned tech issues. More recently, the SMS function of the service stopped working. They’re currently engaged in solving the problem. People stopped receiving the messages I was sending. To fix this, I had to tell tech support who I was messaging and when. Thus, everything you expect to withhold, in the name of privacy, with a service that doesn’t request any of your information upon signup—all that, and more, have I since had to disclose, if I wanted a functioning phone service. Thus, I’m leaving this glowingly glowie organization behind. It functions about as well as an FBI honeypot would. What’s more, they’re not very invested in making sure you, as a customer, are happy. Edit: It’s been about one week since writing the preceding text, which i am still yet to post. The tech/help people with volta responded asking me to alter some settings that i might fix the texting issue. When the proposed solution didn’t work, they told me their SMS feature needs fixing and there’s nothing to do about it meanwhile. Meaning, nobody has the ability to text, and it will be like that indefinitely. Maybe it is just a really terrible service. If so, i would expect them to be more apologetic, or to work harder to keep their customers happy. For two months now, i had functional service for about a week. If i were running the company, I’d be offering people refunds and discounts trying to appease them—that’s why it doesn’t seem to be a legitimately earnest company, in par

It’s a scam.

You can’t cancel. They will take money from your card into infinity. If you change your card number, they come after you for unpaid fees. You were warned. I’m beside myself at how evil these people are and I’m still getting harassed by them.

Nope, dropping out after a couple months of aggravation

Have installed on both my iPhone and an android. I also switched over to use their SIM. Talking to others in the network might be ok but I don’t know anyone else that uses it. SMS and calls to and from people outside of the network and not reliable at all. This is not ready for prime time. It is good for data (since the sim is just a data only sim) but talk and txt through their service leaves a lot to be desired. This morning, I can’t get a cellular connection at all, so even the data is out now. Customer has shoddy availability as well so I have to wait until tomorrow before I can even talk to someone about the problem.

Very pleased. Having Volta gives you your “4th amendment right” back to be (communication) secure in your effects the way the Constitution guarantees here in the grand ol’ USA.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 7, no customer service

Moonliner pilot on

I have an iPhone 7, and I went through all the steps in settings the new sim up with my phone. These steps are listed on their website. It insists that you set it up for 5G, and I don’t think that my phone is 5G compatible. I can only make and receive calls to 2 people on my contact list. For all other calls, it doesn’t even ring, it goes straight to voicemail. The recipient never receives this voicemail. And lastly—and most frustrating—is that they do not have a customer service option that responds. They indicate that they’re so busy that you should leave your email address—which I did, 13 days ago. They have not contacted me. I had to cancel my credit card so that I wouldn’t receive recurring charges for a service that doesn’t work.

Working out the kinks

Ap224 on

The company is definitely going through some growing pains trying to get its service to where they want to have it. Also, people need to remember they don’t collect data so they need input from customers. Overall, I think this service is pretty good for the privacy you get at the costs you charge. I have a second app based phone service I use strictly for business and work because I need 100 percent reliability . I will keep paying Volta because this carrier has amazing potential, and will get better the more people try and help build this model for a privacy oriented phone carrier. Personal use definitely use Volta.

Never any response from customer service

It says on their website to contact customer service. Fair enough. I’ve attempted to multiple times with no response.
