Not Equal to both parties

This app sounded like a wonderful idea until I downloaded it and noticed it only is for far left or democrat issues. It shouldn’t matter what the developers personal political views are if you are going to advertise the app as giving information that is going on in congress and that you can easily call your representatives to let them know if you approve or not. They say they make it easy by giving you a script to go by when making your calls but it only gives you a democratic script to tell them you approve of the democrat policies or are against the republican or libertarian policies. This app is strictly one sided. This is one of the main problems with politics today. Some people don’t want equality or respect other’s political views. Why couldn’t you make a fair app that shows both sides?

Provides one sided political engagement

I downloaded the “5 Calls” app hoping to engage more actively with my representatives and advocate for issues I care about. While the app is easy to use and provides helpful scripts for contacting elected officials, I noticed that most of the call scripts and suggested actions seem to align primarily with Democratic viewpoints. For example, the app encourages users to urge senators to vote in favor of progressive policies, but it doesn’t appear to provide options for those who might support more conservative or Republican-aligned positions. This lack of ideological balance makes the app feel less inclusive for users across the political spectrum. I would love to see the developers include a broader range of viewpoints to ensure that all users feel empowered to participate in the democratic process, regardless of their political beliefs. This would make the app more valuable and accessible to a wider audience.

This App is a perfect tool for a time such as this! It’s convenient, simple and very user-friendly. God knows we need all the help we can get to engage the flawed system we have in order to make deliberate and steady changes toward improving it.

I love this app as it is up to date with key issues and makes it easy to sound your voice. I go through the issues that are important to me and make a list before calling my reps so I can consolidate issues into one call per person.

This app is the most user friendly tool to keep in touch with your representatives in Congress. It provides all the information you need to speak about the current and ongoing state of the union. It dials the number for you and provides a script. It also keeps a record of who was called and if contact was made. You can also find out how your reps voted on different bills. I highly recommend!

State Issues

I was hoping this app would provide an easy means to organize and mobilize citizens in the states to identify important state issues and contact state senators and delegates, but no. Here in NC we have a supermajority GOP house and senate stripping powers away from incoming Dem governor, schools superintendent, and others with the ability to override current Dem Gov veto. Need a section for States and a means for posting curated issues.

It feels good to express my views rather than complaining to the choir. All of these officials want to be re-elected in 2 years so they SHOULD care about what We the People want done.

This app is very easy to use and makes it so easy for those of us that are not particularly savvy politically to decide about issues that we want to speak to our representatives in Congress about.
