I am really tight with spending money. The thought of spending $40 on a journal seemed insane. But I love it. Worth every single penny. I love the fact that I can easily reflect on how I felt over a period of time, and add photos and many different types of thoughts. I love that it focuses on what to be grateful for. I never rate things. But I had to rate this one.
I used to be a loyal user of the Five Minute Journal app, but I stopped using it a while ago because I encountered a major issue: I couldn’t log in with my existing account and kept getting stuck in a sign-in loop. I recently tried to sign in again, hoping the issue had been fixed, but it’s still the same. My account seems to have been lost during their system update, and there’s no way to recover it. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Until this problem is resolved, I can’t recommend this app to anyone.
This is not a journal, it like opening up quiz every time. I want to record my thoughts not what I am being told to. What is the point of this app?
The 5 min journal app has been an essential tool in my daily routine, particularly during my recent job search, which hasn't been the easiest period of my life. The feature I like the most is the daily affirmation, which has had a significant positive impact on my self esteem. The motivational sentence provides a daily dose of inspiration, reminding me of my strengths and capabilities. They have helped me maintain a positive mindset, even during times where I got rejections or simply no replies. They have also encouraged me to stay focused on my goals and take action towards achieving them. It sounds silly that simple sentences would lift you up, but it actually works, and they serve as a powerful reminder that I have what it takes to succeed, boosting my confidence and determination to pursue my search, to keep applying for jobs and networking. I can feel I'm getting one step closer each day and 5 min app has been supporting my journey. I've been using it for a while and haven't seen a repeated affirmation yet. This is all to say thanks for creating such an amazing app. I'll certainly continue using it even after finding a job, and its also great to feel you accomplished something at the end of the day with the daily learnings. The name of the app is true and it takes max 5 minutes each day to get all those benefits. I've learned selff-care with this app so I recommended to all my friends who are going through some stress or anxiety times. Don't be afraid of chasing support whenever you can even if its through the simplest things.
I have used this app for 6 years. I love it when it works. But more and more often over the years I spend time entering my text only to have it disappear. I have sent complaints about this happening and it still keeps occurring. I am so frustrated and obviously they can’t seem to fix the problem.
My day usually goes by too fast, and the Five Minute Journal app has been a great change in my daily routine. Before discovering this beauty, my days often blurred together, I was constantly chasing productivity and barely left room for reflection or gratitude. The 5 minute app, has changed that, its simple design and journaling experience has changed my approach, one day at a time. The power of the app lies in its simplicity and the impact of its guided gratitude practice. Each morning, it offers me a moment of calm before I begin my routine, its a space to breathe and acknowledge the simple things in life. The daliy prompt encourages me to focus on gratitude, setting a positive attitude for the day ahead. In the evenings, reflecting on the my day allows me to appreciate the moments I might have otherwise taken for granted, and that gives me a sense of achievement and well-being. What I also like is not just its focus on gratitude but the features that support a consistent journaling habit. The reminders are key so I don't miss an entry, and the navigation and timeline for viewing my journey and personal growth over time if great. The daily quotes are a motivator, inspiring me to live more mindfully. Over the weekend when I have more time I tend to add photos or videos to my journal, which makes it look nicer than simply text! In general, since I started using the app and get to the habit of tracking my emotions and reflecting on my day, I feel days are worth it and I feel joy. This app has not only helped me cultivate a habit of gratitude but has also empowered me to evolve into the best version of myself. I super recommend it cus it's more than just an app, it's a companion to a fulfilled and mindful life. It cost little if you think, so for anyone looking to bring more positivity and gratitude into life, I cannot recommend this app highly enough.
After downloading a few journaling apps like mydiary, day one, evernote even, etc in search of one that is easy and quick to add my thoughts, I finally found the five minute journal. It was the one that fit my purpose best. My friend recommended as she has the physical diary from Five Minute Journal and is a big fan of the brand. She liked the method they use and told me about the app even though she isn't a user. I've got the subscription and have found the app extremely smooth to follow on a daily basis. Its a journal app so it's suppose to be simple and they've kept it that way. I've told her to give it a go and try the app herself, as she was the one that recommended it to me in first place, but she's just too much in love with having the actual diary and refused to test it....Anyway, I'm more of a tech person so the app suited my goal: reflecting daily and being grateful for the small to the big things that happen in liffe. Today I maintain a consistent journaling habit that I always wanted and that other tools didn't make it possible. I love the prompts the app offers, and I even added the quote of the day as a widget to my home screen, it's very cute and would be even cuter if it was a bit more colourful or if it changed colours every now and then. I've already referred the app to a few people. Thanks to my friend and to Five Minute team! Please keep updating this app so it never dies.
As a 31-year-old who's always looking for ways to improve my self-care routine, I found this app really good. It might sound crazy that an app could impact my daily life, but I was surprised by how it transformed my days and nights sleep, especially through its guided meditation section. I used to have other apps to meditate and reflect, but as I'm not a person who meditates religiously, the combination of the journal aspect with meditation was actually a great combo. The app's design is straightforward, making it easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. This simplicity is crucial for me, as it allows me to focus on what's important, my thoughts and feelings. I've started using the guided meditation sessions to relax and do breathing exercise, it helps with my sleep. After that I input my learnings for the day quickly after have, and naturally set intentions for the next. The guided meditations are not just sound tracks, they offer a space to breathe, think, and be present with my thoughts. Integrating gratitude into my daily life has always been something I knew was important, but struggled to practice and find time. 5 minutes journal focus on gratitude, asking me to reflect on what I'm thankful for each day. I find myself more appreciative of the small moments as it forces me to think about things I'm gratteful for. Setting daily goals is another thing that I've found incredibly beneficial. It's one thing to have ambitions, but another to write them clearly and reflect on their progress daily. This app helped me break down my larger goals into manageable, daily actions, making them feel more achievable. While it might not be the solution to everyone, for me, 5 minute journal is a gentle nudge towards a healthier live.
Disappointed after trying premium. I have no problem paying for premium features, but the value should be proportionate to the cost. Given the quality of numerous similar apps that are free or have a small one-time IAP, the cost/value of this app is disappointing at best. To be clear, I like the app, but the value derived for the cost is disproportionately low compared to free or much less expensive apps with like or better features. This Dev’s data collection practices are concerning, as well. When users are adding private and sensitive information, companies that collect user data should provide clear unambiguous details to their users. This company does not. If you are using this app, I encourage you to seek complete transparency from the company related to the collection and use of your data.
