Description

When two cousins are shipwrecked on a remote island in Alaska, it’s up to you to help them survive, escape, and maybe even discover why there are so many security cameras out here in the middle of nowhere...
57° North tells a gripping story with hundreds of decisions and multiple endings that depend on the choices you make. For an even more immersive experience, it also works with the Merge Cube (https://mergevr.com/cube) to bring gorgeous illustrations to life in the palm of your hand. Just don't get too distracted looking at the scenery... we've heard there are bears on the island.

Good story, cool artwork

Well done! It’s a pretty short game but a good story. Worth it!

Pretty good

BoosDude43 on

Solid game and love the art style. The choose your own adventure aspect is pretty cool, and warrants another play through after your original one. The story is somewhat linear, though you choices can bring about a couple of different outcomes, but you can get some more info on the story by making different choices. I wish it was longer so we could learn more toward the end. Getting this for free was a steal, and would love to see a sequel following this plot line!

Just horrible

One of the WORST game play I’ve ever experienced. Too much text and you can’t even fast-forward. It takes like forever to go over the plot, which turns out to be quite lame and boring. The developer better not charge people anything for this garbage

Good story & graphics

Worth a play through or two for the story, but it lacks on the “choose your own adventure” aspect. Only a few options towards the end will make a difference to the outcome. Unfortunately, to get to them you have to sit through the entire thing each time. It’d be nice if there was a way to skip to various chapters after the first time through, or maybe an option to “backup” decisions to try a different option.

Fun game.

Lots of fun. I wish there was a horror version of this, like saw. And I got to either make choices to send them to their death, or help them make decisions to get out alive. And we had a Lille back story to the characters. Either way, lots of fun. I wish when we choose to kill a character, we got to see them die. No closure.

A brisk thriller

Loved it so very much! Thank you, I love a good story and I really enjoyed this one. Well read and written. I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for another keep it up.

A bit scary for my age...

I’m only a child and I think this is an awesome game! But when the boy gets to the cables and sees blood on it, I get an eerie feeling. This game should not be for kids 8 or younger. Please note that. I haven’t gotten to the end but I have a feeling that the boy will get electric huted. I really don’t want anyone younger than 9 to see that because the graphics might make it a bit scary for young generations. Please do not add such scary things in your next games. So far, please keep up the good work in future games! Also, I might have an idea for another game: you are any animal you want and you start out as a baby and then grow to adult. Kind of like WildCraft. Thanks for reading my review and I hope your games aren’t as scary next time! ;) Like a million months later, I edit this: I like it and it’s not scary now that I’ve finished it. But please try to make future games longer, not that this game isn’t already long enough. I hope that you make more story games like this one because I really enjoyed it. But when I did get it I thought it would be like an RPG or something so, I have maybe one suggestion for a future game-an RPG based on this story. I think that would be awesome, and even more awesome if it was multiplayer. Thanks for reading my review. ((Please respond to this!

Could have been much more

Even though it’s advertised as hundreds of choices, almost all the choices bring you back to the main story. It’s incredibly linear; even on subsequent playthroughs choosing different options, you get the same outcomes (with a few details changed). It’s also quite short (can finish it in well under an hour). Also, it almost feels like the app was created just to promote Merge Cube. Not worth $2.99.

Not worth the $2.99

Storyline is too linear. The game pushes you to its narrative without allowing much variations. I also think that the game would have benefited by employing voice actors. The use of narration was lackluster and a bit pretentious—it’s like hearing someone reading a book report full of direct quotations.
