7 Wonders

Since the latest update about two weeks ago the app opens and then just crashes out, so it’s completely worthless.

Seven Wonders is a must-have game, so much fun to play and is just the right balance between complex and enjoyable... very easy to learn with the in-built tutorial, but still challenging even when you have played many games. The app has changed a fair bit hence a lot of negative reviews... almost all are complaints about the app, not the game. The new app is still very good, but it is a pity that the original app was better, so it would be good to see a 'classic' or 'rollback' option available (nudge nudge developers..?!) This game is a rarity insomuch as it is actually fun to LOSE the damn game, as you can analyse and agonise over every single card you played, and still enjoy it. Hence, it's a great game for kids to learn and play as it is more about the skill and fun of playing than easy gratification. Do yourself a favour and buy the physical board game too, it is awesome and the expansions (both physical and digital) are must-haves, as they are both excellent, and the app versions are a total steal at the price. Arguably the best game money can buy for a tablet!

Hi Devs, great job here. For improvement it’s hard to understand the free build connection between buildings as you build the 2nd one - the symbol system could be clearer. Minor thing though. Thanks for making the game.

I used to love this game but this latest update looks cheap and nasty with the previous version being superior. Please provide an option for the classic version, I’d previously paid for the expansions I now feel somehow cheated

The old visual is way much better. The new version is so ugly and cards are so small. Do like it at all

The game itself was great. The visuals and interface were just awesome and I could spend hours on it. The new updates however are clunky and ugly. Couldn’t play it for more than a few minutes. Please revert to the previous version.

The latest update has completely overhauled the look and feel of this app, and I’m sad to say many of the changes are for the worse. The all-important icons on the cards are now ridiculously small, even on my iPad Pro - I just can’t imagine how the designers thought that was suitable. The 3D intro screen and card animations feel half baked and unnecessary - this is such an elegant game, it doesn’t need visual fluff. I really hope they sort the size issues though, this makes the game a real struggle.

Did the devs test how awful the UI is for iphones? Knew i wasnt the only who noticed how backwards the design have gone! A great game that is currently unplayable due to its poor phone interface. What were you thinking lads?

I foolishly updated and now can’t play. The cards are so small now I can’t see the resources and the cutesy money bag is just bizarre. What a shame. I own every expansion of this game in the cardboard - my family love it - but in this COVID year we have had to play online together instead in person. I just feel really sad. I guess we will switch over to Boardgamearena. The implementation there is clear and clean but no expansions or AI.

Aganice seems to change all symbols to a single one. I had 3 of each and got a score of 81. Needs to sort this out. I remember there is also a bug when wonders / person which gives free building were built, the free building the brought was not available until the next stage.
