7Sage LSAT Prep FAQ
Is 7Sage LSAT Prep free?
Yes, 7Sage LSAT Prep is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is 7Sage LSAT Prep legit?
🤔 The 7Sage LSAT Prep app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
[This is only a review of the app itself, not the course. The course is good.]
An app verging on actively bad. Why is it so hard to get to any page I want using the sidebar? If I’m using the 7sage app on my phone, I’m (personally) likely using it for either the Course videos / lessons or the Drills section. Why is “Discussions,” a section most users likely use occasionally at most, at the very top? Why is there still an option for Logic Games taking up real estate when it’s gone from the exam now? Why is “Course,” the thing I’m primarily paying for, at the very bottom (and underneath “Course Review” at that)? In my opinion, “Course” and “Problem Sets” (Drills) should be towards the top, perhaps followed by the various PT-related categories, Discussion, with Course Review at the bottom.
Additionally, I understand why it’s the easiest option to do so, but it’s an undeniable turn off that the app basically feels like the website shrunk down to an iPhone. It doesn’t feel app-like or intuitive at all. It doesn’t make me want to use the app; it makes me wish I had a computer instead. Tldr; app UI/UX needs a huge touch up. Though I wrote more regarding the sidebar, this might be the more important issue, though the harder one to fix.
It’s not a 1 or 0 star because the app functions (doesn’t crash often, isn’t insanely laggy, etc.), but I wish it were an app that I looked forward to using instead of one I dreaded. (Once again, website is fine, service is good—I’m only talking about the app itself.)
Perpetual Login issues
App consistently says I entered the password wrong and to try again later. When I try select forgot my password it doesn't always send an email to reset it, and the emails are very delayed when they do come through. Once I manage to change my password and I’m positive that I’ve entered it correctly and that I do have service it still says the password is wrong and locks my account. The lockout applies to the app and the computer version so it’s very inconvenient and disruptive to studying. I’ve never been able to successfully access the app.
Thank you 7sage
I am a first generation college student and law school applicant. With little guidance I decided to purchase a kaplan LSAT prep book before taking my first test in January . When I received my first score back I was beyond devastated. I didn’t believe that I could get anything higher and wanted to give up. I decided to take the test again this June and decided that I needed different prep material. I paid for a subscription for 7sage (sadly, I didn’t know there was an option for a $1 enrollment for fee waiver applicants until after I paid for it). I was able to increase my score by 10 points. I might’ve not received the highest score but I am able to have a chance of getting into law school which is exactly what I needed.
Horrible App Configuration
This is NOT a review on the services 7Sage offers, just the way this app works. I downloaded this app so I could drill LR questions and games basically whenever I want, but every time I start a drill, I can never complete it because the answer choices just aren’t there. Like literally. The answer choices are blank. Or they’re partial answer choices, like “B is one lane apart from ___” and I guess I’m just supposed to guess what the rest of the answer choice says. It’s really REALLY annoying especially because the only reason I got this app in the first place was to drill and that’s the number one thing wrong with it.
Best LSAT study method
7sage is the glue to the missing pieces of my study paradigm!
Thankful!
Video not playing
When I try to see the explanation, on some devices it is not working. Hard to review the answers. Hope this bug is fixed as soon as possible
Useless
Nothing works in this app
Awful User Interface
Too much trouble to sign up. Takes forever to load pages. Ugly user interface.
Also, for 95% of content you must pay A LOT of money…

I used several other LSAT prep programs and was disappointed with the results. I decided to give 7Sage a try because it was affordable and several explanation videos had popped up on Reddit from time to time, and it was the best money I spent. I added 12 points to my already improved score from the other study methods.
The layout and format of the website is accessible and super helpful. JY does a fantastic job of explaining everything. Lastly, the ability to retake questions can’t be underestimated. For anyone beginning their LSAT journey, I recommend you start here.
The best LSAT prep material out there.
I jumped from an initial diagnostic score in the high 150s and ended up with a high 170s on my actual LSAT administration in 5 months. I can say without a doubt that 7sage played a critical role in that progression and development. Not only does the course give you a structured pathway to improving in each section, the learning models (e.g., the Foolproof Method) and teaching methods are some of the best I've seen.
