AB Synapse Reviews

Trash / scam

Sinill on

United States

Purchased an expensive watch with AB being advertised as a usable option, only to find out that you have to spend either $100 or $300 extra dollars to even use it.

Disappointed

TorchGW2K on

United States

Bought a Garmin watch which included this feature (or so I thought). Now I’m told I have to buy a license? Wasn’t it included in the watch cost? Considering the watch model cost more than a model without this feature, you’d think so. But no. I’ll be returning the watch. Shame on you Garmin. I won’t buy another Garmin watch.

Waste of Money and Time

Droose on

United States

Absolutely asinine. Buy the hardware, have to download 3 different apps to use it when everything should be bundled into one, and then Garmin has the balls to ask for 300 more dollars. To add insult to injury, as others have noted there are huge gaps in the available bullet data.

Terrible in all ways

Vrenlow on

United States

Buy a $450 watch to find out you need a 300 license for a dope chart. Waste of money, countless better solutions in other places. Won’t be using either of these companies ever again.

ridiculous

Jed Avery on

United States

The amount of money wanted is ridiculous! $300.00 There is not even a 7-day free trial. I'm very disappointed! I can't believe Garmin even advertises this.

Broken after ios18

AnnoyedWithiOSUpdates on

United States

iOS 18 has been in beta for months. Garmin didn’t make the effort to update this app. Says it cannot find any device even though garmin connect sees it with no issue. Removed and reinstalled with same results.

Does not offer ballistics for Winchester or Remington ammo.

Why doesn’t this app have the most common ammo? Please fix.

App is the reason not have AB app on your garmin

this app is total beta version tresshh. it collapses a lot. even touch works awkwardly. bullet data base is far less that it does not have A LOT OF AMMO. interface looks like some individual developer made in 2005. User interaction is worst. it does not hold bullet properties. it deletes every bullet propertied that you typed in after it sends data to iphone. now you gotta type every bullet properties again for all bullets you use.

Do not purchase this for $300

BigBoarSlayer on

United States

I bought the Instinct 2 Solar Tactical just for the ballistics program advertised. I was disappointed to learn I had to buy a $300 app just to use it. I would never had bought the watch otherwise.

Great Add-on for Garmin Instinct 2x Tactical

lane_moseley on

United States

Very happy with the watch and the app. This will be a game changer for elk hunting as having the range card on the watch is very convenient. The Elite version has more features, but as someone who reloads mainly for hunting, the Ultralight version meets my needs perfectly.
