Purchased this app along with an extra helicopter model. The sound doesn’t always work in this app and it just isn’t that great of an app. Sometimes the plane or helicopter just decides to freak out. I want a refund please.
I flew real R/C helis from tiny electrics to 60 and 90 size glow plus a Bell Ranger scale 60 machine. That was 25-30 years ago. I also finished 1st - Sportsman, 1988 Nats, 2nd - Expert, 1989 Nats and 1st - Masters, 1990 Nats in Pattern Fixed wing Aerobatics. Since then a busy career took me away from R/C but I got back into helis a few years ago. This app is amazing considering the price! The sim action in expert mode is very real and can give you hours and hours of safe practice. Beginners can fly safely with AP mode on while getting the basics understood in all orientations. My compliments to the developers on doing a great job! James McMasters Irving, Texas
I fly real rc helicopters. The sim with no autopilot turned on is about like flying without a gyro. With expert mode ap on, its pretty close to a modern rc Heli. Needs more control over on screen controls like expo, etc. Pretty good for the price though. Add on heli models should be priced lower in my opinion. $1 each would work.
Very limited, less customizable than many other sims. Disappointed I spent $5 on it
Love this app!
the last update(feb/09/16) stoped my model planes from loading except one! please fix or give refund.it was the auto pilot update.
It's a good sim considering on-screen control sticks. It's great for learning orientation, especially while flying a helicopter upside down. This is good on iPhone 6(somehow) and up and iPads.I think iPhone 4 and 5 are too small to see things on the screen.
This simulator is in need of refinement , the controls are horrible no accuracy and very twitchy. Settings are limited and even setting it to the lowest setting it doesn't work right . This is coming from someone that actually flys collective pitch helicopters . Worst 5 bucks I spent , do not recommend this app.
As an RC heli flyer of both electric and gas helis I will say the physics in this app is pretty close to what I would expect from a virtual flying app. That being said it still needs a bit of work. Going through each of the Helis in just the start up pack that comes with this purchase.... - The coast guard helis tail rotor doesn't spin. (Just a picky thing I noticed but wanted to let the developers know it's there) - the CH-46 needs a little work on the physics engine. I have a model Ch-46 and understand very well how it flys. In this app however when turning their is way too much throw in the joystick to turn ratio. The smallest increments in joystick movement make this model spin way more then it should. - the small viewfinder at the bottom which shows a zoomed in view seems to glitch out a lot on me. Randomly it goes black and then turns back on. Sometimes the model stays present but the environment behind it goes black. That's while flying close (I noticed it goes black when you get far away from view as well) - the follow view camera seems really odd. I get why they had to make the ground endless as the fixed camera is just a stitched 360 image however there needs to be a new way to make the follow camera work. It would be a neat little feature to fly behind the model but not at its current state. That mode needs more development. Maybe just create an entire 3D world to fly through? Rather then an image with a never ending ground pattern. - When trying to fly in 3D or at least enter into a 3D position I have to release my throttle up stick in order to activate my idle up switch. Usually this results in a crash if I'm low to the ground because of releasing the throttle. Not sure why the throttle up switch isn't active to hit at all times like on my actual Dxi6 receiver. Anyway if the physics engine continues to improve I will gladly give 5 stars but until then I have to be a harsh critic and say 3 stars is where I'm at. Also I wish more fields and models were unlocked for $5. I hate in app purchase and don't really care for forking out more money when I already paid for the app. It would be nice if the next update provided a few extra complimentary models and maps. Just a thought though. I definitely do understand that months and maybe even years of development went into the creation of this app and it I greatly respect that hard work. I just wish more came with the $5 purchase.
