I got hacked after downloading the app
Updated: Used to be four stars. Down to one now since it is gotten buggier because of iOS updates with lack of updates to the app to fix those compatibility issues. Really too bad. Previous: Desperately needs line-wrap and even more desperately needs a search. Would be 4.5 stars with these. That last half a star would come with extra ‘features’ like variable code coloring, etc.
Since there’s nowhere to send feature requests (and I suspect this app is not in any sort of active development), here’s a review: It works great, looks very nice and clean, and the edit page option is very smooth. It would be perfect if I could search within the html, and as somebody else mentioned, text wrapping.
Doesn’t seem to work as expected. Edit function simply closes the editor and then reopening it shows glitched out icons.
(Lowering my rating even more since I’ve found this to be even more of a flop) A bare-bones web inspector — key word “inspector“. The only page “tweaks” it enables are via wysiwyg cursor/element tapping. HTML and style info are readable, but you can’t edit any of it. So, for example — want to temporarily replace a hideous website background image with a solid color that makes the site readable? Forget it. BODY is not a visible element to select for tweaks. Also, on its marketed feature of code size customization … While it does let you decrease the code font size, it DOES NOT accordingly decrease line height. This largely defeats the purpose and makes the "feature" worthless. Many, like me, want smaller text so that MORE content is visible on the screen at any one time - which means MORE LINES. As it is, font set as small as '9' is shown with the exact same line height as font size '16'... From a user experience standpoint, this is a dropped ball. It adds a "feature" but doesn't at all achieve what the feature's common use case is.
Seriously? You give a slim window and no line wrap? Almost 2023, guys. 2 suggestions. Give line wrap an option at least and give another option for a wider window. Icons are pretty.
This extension does exactly what the description says, and nothing more. Inline HTML, CSS, JS only. Copy edits can only be made on-page, in a WYSIWYG-type editor. HTML, CSS, JS edits are not allowed, though they are implied in the description. This is not a replacement for the dev options that we expect on all modern desktop browsers. I hope that one day we have an ipad extension (or native tools) allowing this functionality without connecting iPad to a desktop computer. For now, this is not the solution I'm working for. Take the description at it's word and don't hope for any more, even standard, features.
i like to use my desktop to scrub embedded video URLs off of artstation (which disables video download for some reason), but now i can use my phone too.
Doesn't work when Screen Time web content restrictions are enabled and set to a specific set of pages.
If the developer could add word wrap and search in the code view, this would be 5 stars. Great little app for a buck!
