ACT Traffic

Won’t even connect to the server. Deleted almost immediately. Typical of the ACT gummbament poorly thought out and probably paid a developer a motza for this rubbish.

Whatever this app is meant to do (“You had one job”) it doesn’t do. I don’t know why it’s in the App Store. It does nothing. It can’t even locate you. Google Maps has more info, by way of actually having some info. Literally a complete waste of your time.

So glad while I’m a passenger in a car sitting in bumper to bumper track on the Tuggeranong Park way i downloaded this! That’s sarcasm folks, this was utterly useless. It told me everything was fine and there were no issues in the territory. At 7.49 am on a Friday on the Tuggeranong parkway, that was highly doubtful. By the time I finished writing this review, my driver drove past the car crash which had stopped all traffic.

Provides map with: No road works. No incidents. Nothing. Totally useless.

The traffic updates are non-existent. The app continually advises that the traffic is minimal, only to get on the road and discover heavy traffic, or a car accident. Not much point in a traffic app if it does not have live updates!

Google Maps has always provided reliable traffic data, Apple Maps also has such data. This app basically skins the latter, removes the useful traffic data, and substitutes the incomplete ACT Govt data. Testing the app, it showed one road with heavy traffic. Google Maps showed many dozens with more detail about congestion. App also has multiple disclaimer screens, no voice command, and convoluted settings. This app is worthless, and tries to duplicate other refined apps.
