Masters of Orion
Hyper space communications does not work! You should be allowed to highlight technological advances that are a part of every game. Or maybe if you play the silence you get access to every technology I don’t know.

The new “Space Explorer” game mode is simply an uncredited port of the open source game Endless Sky (https://endless-sky.github.io). While it’s nontrivial to have ported it to iOS, he does not respect the license of the code (Endless Sky is GPLv3, which AIUI means the entire source of Orion Master must be released as GPLv3 if he includes ES in it; certainly, he needs to provide a clear link to the source of his port from the game itself) nor the assets (they are CC-BY-SA, and no attribution has been provided). Furthermore, the port is not of a particularly high quality. The UI text within the “Space Explorer” mode is so small as to be nearly unreadable, there is no access to the Endless Sky preferences/settings, the interface buttons are poorly-designed and poorly-explained, and the flight controls are horrendously laggy.
Ui and controls are no clear. Hard to get started. Ads get in the way.
Best old school game app ever
Could use some love on the ship building to make easier. Great tribute to MOO!
Generally this is a fairly good mobile version of Master of Orion. It plays basically the same so far as the map, resource management, the techs and tech game, diplomacy and ship design and how the races play. Where it lacks is there is no tactical ship combat and battles appear to be decided in a simulation where you get the basics, how many ships participated and who won which is ok but fails for several reasons. #1) you can’t see how your ship designs played against the AI so adjusting for a different outcome is almost a guessing game #2) it almost seems as if the winner is the one who brings the most ships to the table regardless of tech or design and it appears as if the winning side doesn’t sustain any losses? As ship combat decides much of the end result I had to delete this game as it left me frustrated. Mind you I just started back playing MOO prior to getting this so I have a good feel for how ship combat plays out
