Just supurb

DNS VPN constantly disconnectting!

The VPN is constantly disconnectting, and honestly if this is a problem from Apple I would understand, but at least give me a notification that the VPN is down and I'm no longer protected. Express VPN already does that, and I've request for this feature YEAR AGO on the GitHub but nothing happened. Please fix this.

Doing a great job of blocking trackers. Although I wish the split tunnel mode would have worked with my other vpn but it wouldn’t work together.

iPhone 15 pro overheating when run safari at background

Hey AdGuard, updated to iOS 17.1 and run PiP video at the background with advance protection on will drain battery and overheat. I know it wasn’t you but please talk to Safari developer thx. Here detail. iPhone 15 pro Ios17 Advance protection on on YouTube, played 360p video in pip at the background. Front end, use duck duck go browser/ just Lock Screen and let video play, iPhone OH and drain batt to the red in 10 mins.

Used to block YouTube ads but wont any more

Update 2023.10.20: Downgraded to 1 star due to no change on the YouTube ads in Safari (I only install the YouTube app on my iPhone when I want to upload a video, then delete it again so that when AdGuard is able to remove YouTube ads again I won’t need to put up with any of them again). Thankfully AdGuard still does this effectively on my pc but I will be a happier customer when the iPhone app can do it again and will happily upgrade to 5 stars when that happens. 2 stars but happy to change it to 5 if a dev can make a simple guide on how to block YouTube ads like it used to. Also is now unable to keep ads blocked on most of the web pages I visit and it drives me crazy having to manually block ads on the page every 30 seconds or so when the blocked ads suddenly become un-blocked and I have to do it again. This is actually more stressful than getting brainwashed by the ads, and if there is no way to get it to block all ads all the time on websites, especially YouTube, then I will be deleting the app and giving it 1 star rating.

This is a great system-wide blocker

**Current version breaks Safari plugin for me so I’ve reverted to system-wide DNS blocking** This is an awesome app that seems to fly a little under the radar. Fine-grain control over what severs you’re blocking amongst other detailed settings.

Superb ad blocking solution

Adguard is a phenomenal app for blocking ads in Safari and also system-wide. It provides 3 different features to do filtering in Safari, and system wide. 1. Content Blockers (Safari browser only) 2. DNS change: adguard let’s you choose from a few different DNS servers that support upstream ad blocking. It works for mobile and/or wifi connections. Filtering doesn’t happen directly on your device, instead it relies on the upstream DNS server to have a good quality blacklist and not respond when your iOS device asks for the IP address for a domain that is on the black list. You’re subject to the privacy policy of that DNS company. 3. DNS Filters: Adguard downloads a domain blacklist file and is stored on your Before your device asks an upstream DNS server for the IP address of a domain, it first checks the blacklist it has stored, and if the domain is on that list then it won’t be able to connect at all. It works system wide meaning it can block third party apps from contacting known advertising domains, and therefore ads often don’t load. This particular feature is hidden by default and is only visible if you turn on advanced settings and use a pseudo-VPN profile instead of the native DNS option.
