Adult ADHD Day Planner : Weel Reviews
Really wanted to like it but some little things made it hard.
I have a few calendars I juggle for personal, work, freelance and adding them all, getting them all to refresh as I made changes through the day, and making edits in app were just too clunky for me. I thought that having the two wheels were innovative, but in practice made me more confused. I wish there were a way to turn it into one wheel or just have more visual options. I understand the vision- it's super cool and I bet it works for people with different backgrounds. I hope that it becomes more seamless in future iterations and I'd come back to try again!
Widget is Great, App is Laggy
There isn't another app I've encountered that nails the arrangement/design of the dial like this one, but the menu UI is oddly laggy. Slow framerate for some reason. It does what I want it to do, which is display calendar events on a 24h noon-centered dial. That said, I want to get in and out as quickly as I can, minimize adjusting anything from inside the app because of the performance.
game changer
visual fireworks! thank you for the updates and continued support that keeps making huge strides to help those of us who have struggled with traditional calendars structured and never improved… until now. you’re thinking outside the typical box and addressing the needs of so many that aren’t represented.
Great time visualization tool
The developer has made a very useful app to visualize time. Thank you this is one of my favorite apps I have discovered this year
Great interface
Love this app especially that the calendar is so visual and you can see your day at a glance and how much the appointments proportionally take up. Also really like that you can use multiple calendars right next to each other as well time zones. The checklist/notes section for each appointment is a brilliant option. I also will use it for trying to schedule meetings across multiple time zones - so much easier than calculating on my own or using a website.
Good idea but super buggy
Starting the trial for a week now and it’s been so buggy. I put down certain tasks and events for a certain time and date (today) and it never shows up on any of the rings. It takes a second try to put something down, finally. Then upon trying to see the event for the day, I’ll scroll to today on the bottom list and yet, the ring on top displays the ring for yesterday. How is a planner useful if it doesn’t even show the day you’re focused on? And then I tried deleting an event using the “delete event” link in the corner and…it’s still there. Why would I want to drop money for this?
This is the app I have been searching for
Update: I am happy to report that I have continued using the app to great effect. The glitch I reported in my earlier review was the result of user error. As I’ve become more comfortable using the app, I realized I simply did not notice that you sometimes need to scroll up/down to see your text when writing notes. When opening notes, they don’t always generate where you left off.
However, I have a fresh request. I have created a recurring daily “diary” task to track my progress. After a week of work, I realized that the edits I made erased my earlier notations (at times, I see an option to select “Save for this event” v. “save for future events,” but this does not appear reliably and it shows up on the bottom of my screen in a place where it is very difficult for me to click on it (I can only see half a line of the text at a time, if at all. I need to scroll up/down to choose and option and because this appears at the bottom of the screen, my IPad thinks I intend to close the app instead.)
I would love to see a diary option added to the interface so that I no longer need to create an event for it every day. I would also love for this/any notes to have a search function that will allow me to easily pull up when I had a meeting with a specific person or when we discussed a specific event.
All-in-all, this is the best app I have found to assist with my complex executive functioning deficits. As an autistic person working in a professional administrative position, this app is a life saver. I am intensely grateful for the work that was put into this.
I have been looking for an app that combined Reminders (with check lists), a visual clock like the Wakka app, and Notes into one. I usually use all my tech in dark mood. However, I cannot see the text when writing notes for the day in dark mode. If this is not simply a glitch, then I feel they should not charge a subscription fee to use Light mode. Please update this note taking feature.
Initial Review
App keeps crashing when certain dates or events are chosen. Also when I select a date-specific event (represented by a color-specific line icon) it defaults to an arbitrary date of “September 6th” in my case.
Charging to repeat a task is bad!
Whew what a money grabber. Color coding and making repeating/reoccurring tasks is apart of the pro features. So everyday a person who has adhd has to come back in and remake the tasks again or pay for another subscription that were just going to forget. It’s predatory to me. You know we aren’t going to remember and get frustrated. I’m looking for a new app now
I wish it had a way to add events to only weekdays.
If it had this feature, it would have been a home run for me. Almost there!!
