Description

This aviation weather app brings professional weather forecasting features to every serious pilot.
The app presents pilots with the well known METAR and TAF data in an intuitive and visual way.
Scroll over the map to the area you are interested in and get a good overview of the expected weather in that area in a visual way. Zoom into advanced features after that for a more detailed weather analysis.
This app provides pilots with often hard to find information such where to expect the top-of-clouds, severe turbulence, convective activity, freezing levels, temperatures and dew points at the flight levels and the expected winds aloft.
We added a simplified but powerful Clouds Diagram showing you where to expect cloud layers, type of clouds (turbulence and convective energy) and where to expect the freezing level and the most dangerous areas for aircraft icing.
Additionally, we added direct links to the most important significant weather charts in our app, so that you have all the information you need at your fingertips to make a good analysis of the weather en route to your destination.
Finally, use our app in combination with the Iridium GO! satellite hotspot device to get the latest rain radar, lightning and airport data while you are in-flight.

AeroPlus Aviation Weather Reviews

Buggy

Bltsfg on

5 stars for the idea and 2 stars for performance. Would be a great program if it would work consistently but it's buggy. Also thought the TAF addition was a one time purchase but turns out it's an annual subscription.

Terrific

This is one of the best aviation weather apps out there . The new update also features wind aloft, cloud layers freezing levels . Great Canadian coverage too .

Huge potential

Horsejouster on

The downside is the way they implemented purchases for TAF reports. There is no way to know how much they want to charge you without turning on in-app purchases (I'll never do that for ANY app). They should sell a pro version with TAF direct from the apple store and ditch in app purchase model. The metar is great and the surface winds etc are super. Fix the selling method and it'd be a 5 star.

Stupid app

Slow and cheap.

Slow and annoying.

Everything is slow and the app is unresponsive most of the time. Annoying pop ups for TAF purchases.

Good concept, worse support ever

I had this app for quite some time and I love it. I also like that you have the option to connect it to an iridium sat phone. But I have never been able to make it work. I paid the subscription (by mistake I paid it twice, thinking that the payment had not gone through) and it never recognized that I had paid! So I contacted customer service and they didn’t been acknowledge that I had written to them. Stay away from this app.

You have to keep buying their apps and the program freeze. Waisted my money

Great quick look app for pilots and students

This app gives the pilot a quick look at what the current weather is doing all along the route. Need a forecast...touch the reporting station. Great quick app! ATP/CFIIME

Why?

R6Rider on

United States

Does not allow you to check METARs at an individual location. Can't even see the METAR, don't bother because this app is useless.

Winds aloft, don't bother

Real robo on

United States

As a pilot, I've been searching for a good, reliable app to source winds aloft data as a quick alternative/addition to aviationweather.gov. This app might have winds aloft, but you'll have to pay for it. Otherwise there are better app alternatives for what it provides as is, which is METAR data. The layout leaves a bit to be desired as well.
