AeroPress Timer

There’s a review stating that this app crashes when setting the water temperature for your own recipe. A year on from that review it still crashes. I have therefore requested a refund.

I love this app. Super easy to follow and plenty of options for great tasting coffee.

Some of the recipes have a two step ‘pour’ ie step one is ‘pour 100g’, then step three might be ‘pour 120g’, it doesn’t clarify if step three is an additional 120g or to a total of 120g, also some recipes have a notes section before then the timer starts and doesn’t give you the information you need to follow the recipe

Cannot add own recipes. Keeps crashing after setting water temp. Restarted app and phone makes no difference. Shame really. £5 wasted! Will have to use Notes app (which is free) instead.

Does exactly what it is for, interesting to read the different recipes. Really like the pull down to see the time steps ahead of time, it flashes down when you go into the recipies, that could be added to the start count down as well? A good add would be water temperature, I generally use 90 and all have worked well.

Not much more to say, other than what a waste of money.

I am shocked. For the price I was expecting the recipes to have at least the temperature... come on guys, this is essential! Then the second problem is that I cannot input my own recipes. Already the recipes are useless if I do not know the temperature. Plus think about how generic the recipes suddenly become. It is just a timer. But 20 seconds stirring? How many times to stir and when, it is super important. Ok then, i could use the timer ignoring the recipes.. but this s not possible? What the use of it? How fine coffee is ground differs depending of the coffee grinder. Just medium? As a comparison, this is how a recipe for aeropress should look like ( and this is already quite open to lots of variable, type of coffee, roast, grinder used etc, but at least is a beginning, read it and compare with app..): Winner: 2014 World AeroPress Championship Coffee: 16.5g Water: 250g soft mineral water @ 78°C Brewer: Upright Filter: Paper Grind coffee at "9.5" on a Malkoenig EK43 Rinse paper filer with warm water Heat water to 78°C Add 40g of water Allow 25 seconds of bloom Stir five times Add 210g of water and stir once Press down very slowly for 75 seconds Leave 45g of slurry in the AeroPress Total brew time - 1:40
