AeroTimer

Published by: Mike Schnabel

Description

Aero time is a simple aviation timer with some powerful features. It is designed to record and store engine start and stop times as well as takeoff and landing times. It was born out of my experiences flying UAVs in Afghanistan. As advanced as that machine was, the one thing it was missing was a flight timer.
Since most pilots don’t fly UAVs, I have included some features more useful to the average general aviation pilot. AeroTimer will auto detect takeoff and landing using the iPhone GPS.
AeroTimer also features a flight log you can use to store a few days worth of flight information until you can enter it in your log book.
AeroTimer makes use of the iPhone GPS. GPS makes heavy use of battery power on the iPhone. Although there are some battery saving features included, I recommend you have your iPhone plugged into a power source when using this app.
