This is a fantastically engaging romp through the life of a courtier - you can be conniving, power-hungry, and jealous, or honest, heartfelt and generous. Perhaps most importantly, all paths feel genuine. A great piece of interactive fiction.
This game is amazing, it's so hard to choose between Gabriel, the king and Torres though!
I especially liked how some choices were only available to you if you had chosen particular choices before. This makes replaying much more entertaining. Try going through it a few more times!
Main character is annoying and you sometimes only get choices that are all pretty much the samr e.g. How the main character views Mendosa's personality, where you get three choices that all mean "she's annoying". Cool. It's like why bother making it a choice.
The stat screen needs a patch, it will occasionally change all of the stats to what they were when you started the game
It Keeps Coming Up With "Index.html" error when I check stats. Then it says "Sorry the game must now be restarted to apply big fixes" and it RESETS my stats. So I have to restart the game :/ Please Fix This CoG
This is a wonderfully written "choice of" story, with very authentic 17th Century period references set in a fantasy kingdom of Iberia. One really feels immersed in the private world and struggles of a noblewoman or man in those times. The freedom to choose between wealth, power or love are really well thought out. Certainly recommend for fans of this genre!
Don't read this because I spoil the beginning. At the beginning when you choose to save your sibling and you choose I know magic myself and stuff it says sadly I'm a death Mage and using a fireball is better for starting a fire. I thought you can burn a fire out and also thinking why not do that?
This game doesn't really focus on romance if you choose to not have romance with your soulmate. I love this game because I chose power and it always surprised me, the decisions I have to make to stay alive . In summary this game isn't about romance if you choose to do something else and it's a great game .
I had such a good story I got rock hard and came buckets. You will most likely have the same experience!!!
