Explore a world of secrets.

Description

An open world adventure game filled with silly characters and terrible secrets.
Afterplace is an adventurous indie game for mobile devices. It's a huge open world, full of hidden secrets, treasures, and creatures. You'll run around the woods, fight monsters, and talk to ostensibly shady characters! All from your pocket! Be warned though - you never know what the forest might be hiding, and not all trails are paved. Labyrinths and dungeons are tucked away in the most concealed nooks. There are no waypoints in Afterplace. You'll have to forge your own path.
Afterplace has been designed from the ground up to be a fast, fluid, beautiful experience for mobile. There are no virtual buttons. You can move and attack by touching anywhere. You can tap objects directly to interact or attack, or use two thumbs like a traditional controller. The game will adapt dynamically to your play style. Pick up and set down the game at your own pace, it will always save your progress. Afterplace is made to feel like a full-fledged indie adventure game that fits in your pocket.

The best of the best

When I say that this game is amazing it still feels like an understatement. An amazing story, well written characters and engaging gameplay, this game has it all and to top it all, I managed to get the “golden ending” in my first time, securing an amazing experience.

What a Game

This game is incredible. Its surprisingly rich in its storytelling and there a lovely variety in the graphics. The gameplay itself is a perfect mix of challenging and very doable given that you can do at your own pace. At the start I was kinda frustrated by the lack of a map but having played the game I think it definitely made things more interesting. I also loved how the whole multiverse/door things was handled, it made for some great exploration and allowed for a lot of creativity on the design front. 10/10 game!!

Brilliant

Hats off to the dev. Love this game. Please do a sequel ! It’s great Apple recognised how good this game is and rewarded it. So playable and addictive. Love it

It’s tedious

Sorry but I found this game tedious. I deleted it before finishing it. I find myself wondering aimlessly all over the place, travelling to the same places over and over again. The fighting controls are poor. It reminds me of the first Zelda game. Good in its day, but simply tedious now. Having said that, I did like the one handed movement controls.

Fantastic

Absolutely brilliant game. The progression and exploration is perfectly balanced the entire way through. The controls are well design for mobile. The game play and depth of secrets to find is reminiscent of Breath of the Wild. I’ve not enjoyed a mobile game this much for a very long time.

Awesome game

Really enjoying this so far, brings that old school Zelda vibe that has been lost from the Zelda franchise recently. You can play this game with one hand which is just a great piece of game design and it feels cool to turn my iPad into a game boy advance for 30 mins or so and explore Afterplace. Highly recommended.

i’ve only just recently over the past year or so started to get into games (mainly playing alongside over people) and this game was my first that I’ve completed by myself!! I love it! funny, a bit creepy a times, I love the mystery and story behind it!! I love afterplace!

Really good game !

I dont write reviews usually but this game deserves one. The story is super cute and interesting, difficulty is pretty easy but not too easy. (Most of the difficulty personally was more about getting around the map and story). Graphics are really well done. Really cute characters with a lot of personality. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars is maybe the item system? I feel some more items could be added, or maybe found, or upgraded. As the gold collected becomes a little bit useless. Apart from that the game definitely is worth playing!

Superb

A wonderfully rich adventure with some quirky friendships being formed along the way. I’ve enjoyed every minute playing this game and would love another story in the same universe!
