Stunning graphics, enchanting world, engaging storyline, entertaining characters, timeless combat mechanics, even the music is stunning. I absolutely love this game and I want to say a huge congratulations to the amazing development team who have created this special universe.

Ребят, как можно уже довольно крупному и приличному бизнесу заниматься таким низкопробным обманом? Зачем размещать фотографии несуществующей игры. С целью заманухи? Фу.

Generous Opening Play, A Bit Stingy Later

As a turn based team play game with a lot to do, Age of Magic is excellent. They’re just a bit too transparent with their advancement choke points, e.g. specific loot pieces needed to advance equipment levels being mostly available through the market. It’s not impossible to progress but it definitely slows you down. There are some nitpicks such as the need to develop teams I’m uninterested in, in order to complete some portions of the game, but these are subjective. Overall I don’t mind kicking in a bit of money for hero and magic passes so they can afford to advance the game, but it can be a cash trap if you get impatient. But you can have a good experience with little to no money if you are patient and play your cards right.

1 hour of play was more than enough. The bigger the potential, the bigger the disappointment

We’ve all seen similar games, they draw you in with seemingly good screenshots or footage then eventually you start to get bored when the free 2 play plateaus. But if the game has been enjoyable enough you may put a little investment in to boost your experience and possibly keep playing. Well…this doesn’t even get that far. No gripping story, poor character experience, f2p experience is abysmal from the start and you hit the gameplay plateau (frustration) in 20-30 minutes. Every fight, even against much lower levels, is a task. And if the fight is near your level you’re likely to lose. Very obviously designed to be paywall from the beginning and will most likely put people off quickly. I found it odd that it has a lot less interest vs its competition on the App Store despite appearing to be leagues better; well now I know why. All it really has going for it is that it looks great. Which is disappointing, because it has potential. But the basic idea of what these products are supposed to do has seemingly escaped the devs. So, for the devs, I’ll spell it out. 1: Make game that functions and looks good. 2: Give players incentives to start play, like one free high level hero or a decent amount of starting resources (you basically have none). 3: Eventually, slowly, introduce a difficulty plateau that is aimed to plant the seed of investing into paid play enhancements (p2w). 4: Showcase what’s possible in later gameplay, showing the power of maxed out heroes, to entice players to keep playing (not like in your case where even the maxed out heroes get repeatedly wiped out because you haven’t balanced difficulty correctly). Because that just makes you think “why the hell would I pay money to boost my heroes to still get curb stomped”. 5: Encourage micro transactions a little more with offers and such. 6: Get paid. What you’ve done is get way too far ahead of yourself. Making the experience difficult and miserable from the start will not encourage investment in paid boosting the way you hope. The frustration from difficulty (heroes lacking power) will not innately induce a will to paid boosting if the consumer hasn’t experienced any enjoyment throughout play. The opposite is true. You obviously understand the general game play side of things, if only the understanding of the business side of it was better balanced with actual gameplay you’d have struck gold.

Incompetence, greed and false advertising

updated review as of 2024. 1. - DO NOT download this game based on the RPG type footage and advertising displayed, you are being misinformed. Game is turn based strategy and requires a lot of time to play f2p. 2. - Is the game still any good? - it’s been out 5-6 years by now, its architecture is still unstable and outdated, with updates especially. Game used to be f2p friendly in its earlier years but has since become p2w as far as pvp elements go. Pve is as much of a mess due to vets and older players with little to do once they are burned out on top tier clan raids and cradle. Parts of the game are incomplete and neglected due to PK’s compulsive nature to vomit new heroes into the game at the expense of wider creativity and improvement, not to mention a great deal of great suggestions that have been voiced by the community and ignored. They have recently announced Nightmare raids, but such things come too little to late. New and younger players are hampered by poor design and maximum monitization, old factions that used to be meta but are still good and helpful for them are locked in stupid places and some can only be obtained by lucky rng when the are all outdated and in cases redundant anyway in comparison to recent factions. Just some examples. The only positive thing I can say is the games community, which is great overall. Friendly and helpful, probably one of the best I’ve seen in a mobile game of this calibre. that said, mods have their hands tied too strictly by Devs and company “guidelines” and whilst most are pretty chill and do a decent job, there is I am afraid still something to be said of “tolerance” and the type of “free speech” allowed. play at your own risk, but your progress will be greatly inhibited without paying on a regular basis, at the very least the games Magic Pass. Peeps like to sugar coat this with “nah, just be patient and you’ll still be able to play f2p” and they are right, it’s possible. In 2 years of consistent play without spending of any kind you can get a decent way. But, I ask you, how much time are you willing to waste as well as credit?

Advertised as a Soulslike, actually a turn based gacha style RPG. Not what I was looking for.

Amazing game

This is an amazing game but me and my friend think you should be able to trade character shards or characters. So say I had 340 Thane’arg shards out of 345 and one of my friends had 5 and I had 25 Lucky shards then I could swap 25 for 5 at so then I would have Thane’arg and they would have Lucky.
