Won’t update, just freezes
This app is an excellent source of the current MCP’s and gives a good amount information about the pharmacology aspects of EMS; it is a great baseline for understanding the pathophysiological nature of pre-hospital care. I cannot give this app a 5 star rating though, because it is not fully optimized for iPads; the application needs to be configured so that it can be displayed horizontally instead of a sole vertical format. I hope that the developer’s update that aspect in the near future for ease of use.
Seems to be stuck on the download update page.
App is broken, won’t update
Sure do wish that this would work in landscape mode. I use my IPAD most of the time for study and would like to be able to use the keyboard without standing on my head :)
This app needs an in-app update every time you open it and then once it finally updates (like seriously a full minute) the order of the protocols for the different disciplines has randomized since the last time you opened it causing you to have to pause and find the appropriate one. (Not great for Emergency Services obviously.) The formatting is terrible once you can open a protocol. You have to zoom in to read anything which makes it difficult to switch to another when you need to work between multiple protocols (as ALS ambulances often need to). This app was great in 2011, it hasn’t been modernized since, and I’m sure it’s costing taxpayers tons of money despite that.
Tried opening up the app to show protocols to some new students and it is permanently stuck on downloading. If you leave the app it says no connection to internet and closes. Completely broken.
Cannot download any content - fully not functional.
As many other users have pointed out- this app is absolute trash considering it’s potential as an essential resource for responders. With almost daily changing protocols to which responders are held accountable, being able to access these- on scene in many cases- is crucial. Yet the app functionality is abysmal. Downloading constant updates- normally would be great! Except that if you can’t download them for whatever reason or are delayed in downloading them- you can’t skip it. It just tells you “no public protocols are available.” I want very badly for my guys to be able to refer back to the protocols to fine tune their treatment as they start to catch up with the incident and have a moment to reflect on possible additions to their chosen treatment pathway but as it is right now the service is a total let down and either needs to be fixed or pulled.
