This app is no longer maintained and is only intended for use with Wave Gen 1 monitors. If you don’t have a Wave Gen 1 in your setup, please use the Airthings app. To know if you have a Wave Gen 1, look for serial numbers starting with 2900. You can find the serial number on the label at back of your monitor where the batteries are stored.

Obsolete!? (Updated)

I’m very happy that our hardware is not obsolete and we can continue to use the new app. We absolutely love our devices and find them invaluable in our apartment in Europe where there is no mechanical air circulation.

Yesterday I would have given my units and hub 5 stars, but today the app notified me that the 2900 series app is obsolete and will not be updated. Luckily consumer law in the EU allows for 2 years, so, sadly my units are going back for reimbursement. In addition there are no upgraded consumer units on the market that I can find. I am evaluating other manufacturers.

Invasive Tracking of Browser History
Your app tracking browser history is a blatant abuse of privacy. You do not need this type of information other than to sell! Stop it. There must be an infringement of privacy you are committing. I don’t search any porno web sites, but I suddenly started receiving this filth after I set up two airthings monitors. Your customer service is unavailable and unresponsive. The only good thing about airthings is they are relatively trouble free and offer peace of mind. You are dooming your company with bad service and browser tracking.
Great app
We bought the Airthings 2989, we ended up getting Radon Mitigation and the professional equipment were within .3 of this device. It was in a different room though.
A lot of the reviews are mixed it looks like for this app. That might be due to a difference in devices. The app itself is very well done. No issues with it, provides great data and very user friendly.
Mini Refuses to setup/sync support is no help
Mother in law gave me the Wave Mini as a stocking stuffer and this thing and app are terrible. You can’t even make it past the “add device” stage despite the app finding the device with correct serial number. Gives you an error every time - support was no help and reddit was a bust. Seems the other apps from this developer are poorly rated as well which means the developers are historically terrible at what they do. Support? Non-existent
Does not work
Device will not register no matter what. I use the latest iphone 15 pro max with latest ios. This company is a joke. Do you not do any testing???
Graphs make you guess at time
When using the pinpoint feature to interact with the graphs, they show you the exact air quality reading rather than the exact day and time. This frustrates me because I feel that showing the exact day and time is obviously way more useful than the air quality reading, which is an estimate anyway. That level of detail on readings themselves is useless… no one cares that the CO2 is 308 vs 305. Most people are just looking at the green/yellow/red indicator anyway, but the day/time display on the X axis is much less granular. Determining when spikes occurred in the past is a total guessing game.
Syncing hasn’t worked for 4 months
I’m having the same issues as others. This app used to sync flawlessly but this past year something broke. Today is 12/19/23 and the app hasn’t been able to update or sync since 8/21/23. I’ve tried all troubleshooting but nothing is working.
Useless graphs
The graphs do not show any timestamps so it is hard to gather any meaningful information to correspond with other external events… such as opening a windows and seeing how much time it should be open. This seems like a very easy thing to add to your app….
Inconsistent at best
Cannot get it to sync with my app, it goes months without syncing and cannot get any reads. Twice I’ve had to replace batteries, only to lose nearly a year of reads bc it won’t sync. Really frustrating for the cost of the device.
