AJournal - Planner & Journal

Works well as a basic planner but when using the daily/weekly layouts (the only ones I use, don’t know if it’s the same on other spreads) my text boxes get condensed or disappear when I click between daily/weekly pages, so I always have to go back and re-size them which gets super frustrating. Also every text box opens the keyboard when you tap on it once, even if you only want to format it. Should change where you have to tap twice to change the text. Besides this, colour options on free version are good, and there are some nice stickers but would like more that aren’t just emoji-style icons.

I like this, really easy to use and good features - even in the free version. However it has a major bug where all the text from a daily entry I’m working on just disappears (I’m using an Apple Pencil). I’ve tried to undo but that doesn’t work. It’s happened 3 times in the couple of weeks I’ve had it. Also had the opposite issue where a days entry has duplicated across multiple days.

I’ve tried many apps but this one is just brilliant. It doesn’t overcomplicate things and has many page setups that are very useful. It syncs with your calendar too. This is the only journal app which I can consistently use. It does everything you need in a journal and more without needing to buy premium unlike other apps. Would highly recommend!

Cannot use my apple pen to draw tried enabling it on settings still did not working deleting now

This is a brilliant app! It links to Apple Calendar and to Reminders and you set pages up with lots of different combinations elements within them. Having tried the Digital planners such as the ones to use in GoodNotes I would never go back to them. This is much more versatile. Here’s hoping for a Mac version in the future.

Quite nice to work with

I was looking for a Daily Diary/ Journal for work and this app is everything. I am almost certain that I can go paperless with my work notes next year because of this app.

I love this app because I can create templates the way I want it. That makes the journal very personal. At first I had troubles with those templates, didn’t understand how to make it work but when I finally figured it out I am impressed. There’s one thing that is very annoying though : when you add a text box you can’t resize the font size. You need to add text box, change font size, remove this text box and add a new one. Magically the new one will have font size you chose in the previous one. It shouldn’t work like this. You should be able to change font size in highlighted text box without need of removing and adding a new one. I wish there was more text editing tools as I type most of my journal content. Hand writing use the default apple tool and this one is very limited too but it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I personally don’t use it too much so no complains here.

Please can you get my x phone to sync with 10th gen iPad. When you do I will give you 5 stars. I know it is because Apple won’t put iOS 17 on X. But surely you can adapt your own programming
