Changed each update for the worse
Use to be few video playback then ads and now they charge shame on them. The more money it made the worse it became
Developer(s), one thing that would make the app perfect:
When you go into power saving mode, the app bar on the bottom and icons at the top still show, which is noticeable to anyone who looks at the phone. For situations where people might want to discreetly surveil their room, like for creeping landlords, it would be best if all the icons went black as well, so that with guided access it would appear to be turned off. This could even be an added selling point for the subscription, if it were an included perk.
Used to be good, now everything requires premium subscription
Don’t use this app unless you intend to also purchase the premium subscription. Only thing the free version lets you do is view live video and receive notifications of when activity is detected. If you want to watch what motion was detected you can manually download the 30sec video but it’s a pain. The free version used to let you view these clips right from the app and of course that requires the premium subscription now. All the free features are now behind the paywall. Disappointing
Used to be great
I used to love this app but recently they changed the playback feature so you can’t even watch the events that get recorded without a premium account. Only good for watching live feed. Will be looking elsewhere. Edit: I understand you can download events, one at a time, in order to view them. But this is new. Prior to this, events were able to be viewed within the app, albeit with ads between viewing each event. For instance, if I heard a noise from my front porch, I’d be able to open the app and view the event to determine if someone is on my front porch. Now, I need to download each event recorded, many of which are often just shadows from the wind blowing, and then go over to the photo album to view them, which takes significantly much longer than watching in the app-which used to be an option. I do understand they’ve built in workarounds. I’m just disappointed that you’ve taken away something that has been an option for the last 6 years of using this app.
Pay wall subscription locks most important feature.
Loved this app. Used it for quite some time now. I did not mind having the free version as there were no ads when I first downloaded it. Then they introduced ads. The ads weren’t all that bad, as they’re only 5 seconds long, but recently they locked the play back feature behind a pay wall. That’s were I draw the line. What’s the point of having the recordings saved locally on the phone that’s being used as a camera then locking the play back feature behind a pay wall.. Defeats the purpose of a remote camera and who needs another subscription on the list..I’d prefer a flat one time fee.

Premium Version Useless
I’ve always had the premium version but it’s useless when the camera goes offline when I’m hundreds of miles away from my home leaving me with no security. Happened 3 times now on week long trips. It used to work just fine and my device hasn’t changed, I have great WiFi and the trouble shooting fixes did nothing. Makes me think maybe the device connection is purposely unreliable so you’ll buy the cameras from them. I’m not buying their camera for that to go offline and have just as horrible reliability. I’m looking for another service after this app let me down too many times.
