Great magazine, but rubbish app
Unfortunately I’m going to have to cancel my subscription, not because I don’t like the magazine (I do), but because the app is terrible. Much of the time it won’t let me download issues, or it just deletes them when it feels like it. My biggest gripe is that as I own the issues I should be able to read them and make notes and highlights. But the app won’t let any kind of user interaction. I emailed the customer support numerous times as to why I can’t have the magazine in pdf format so I can be free to read and make notes…..but they couldn’t be bothered to respond. I’ve paid for the magazines, so I should be free to have them as I like, not locked into a user-unfriendly app that could disappear off the App Store at any time.
