AMA is really great but not as great as it was 50 years ago

When doctors used to make house calls, they were awesome and communities used to buy them houses and not tax them etc. That was a great love between the public and physicians. Then, sometime in the 50s, it was discovered that the largest amount of professional people, dying from heart attacks, was those doctors. Do you stress of caring so much, dealing with insurance companies, making appointments, and everything, was too much for many doctors that tried to do it all by themselves. Another problem was the Hippocratic oath that foreign doctors said was against their religion. Clinics became the solution and doctors were taught more about business in college. Skipping I half a half a century ahead: [_] I quit going to one doctor, as an example here, who decided that if you wanted to see him, you’d have to pay a yearly $1000 membership fee. [_] No matter what doctor I go to, if we take longer than 15 minutes, somebody will come in and remind him that other people are waiting. [_] Universities increase the difficulty of exams for Medical students because of the fear of over flooding the field with too many doctors and reducing their ability to charge a, “reasonable” fee. ———-Summary =Concern for profit exceeded concern for patients. I’d rather see a nurse who is talk more about concern than profit today. ———-Some suggestions for solutions: [_]An oath can be taken without religious implications, like an affidavit, under the penalties of perjury, to uphold the ethics established for the medical practice, as before in the United States. [_] Some mobile doctors offices have been driven to peoples homes to care for them in their homes. It was successful but not supported. Our technology has now, with GPS, etc., more capable of doing this and should be encouraged. [_] Billing can I’ll be done by people working from home. Virtual visits through those handling billing could be very helpful. —— I am sure that the AMA can rise to the level it was before, I encouraged them to catch up. This is, “The tip of the iceberg”. I didn’t read this anywhere, I lived it. I’d like to speak to somebody. My telephone number is: 1-(270)-993-4236. My mailing address: TOM ILSLEY JR 117 EAST 18th STREET 240, OWENSBORO, KY 42303 - 3752 Respectfully yours, 💕✝️“TOM”

I enjoy AMA connect ever since I was a medical student. Actually, I sometimes used to read my Father’s JAMA before I was a medical student. For me, it is hard to keep up with 2 specialties plus all of the additional knowledge that I need to be well informed and a source of information for my patients. I also enjoy learning about the new government regulations in health care. Medicine changes rapidly and I want to be as up to date as possible. Thank you for providing a reliable source of medical information as well as the CME credits required to obtain a position outside of private practice.

I give the lowest possible review due to AMA going woke.

Every app needs one of these. The AMA Connect app is no exception. FAQs are a distant second-best.

Just...no

Lots of redundancies. And why is the home tab only social media posts? Quite a confusing platform. AMA you need to completely redo this app. Utter shambles

Interesting, but not easy to get data searched. JAMA might be good example.
