I’ve tried every task / productivity app out there, I have ADHD, so eventually I’ll get bored & stop using them. But AM is so customizable, that when I feel I start to get bored, I can change my flow or strategy & it feels like a brand new app. No other app is capable of doing this. The bad reviews of the phone app are unfair in my opinion, because yes, the phone up can’t compare to the Mac or web apps, but is not supposed to, is meant to be a companion app, it does all the most important stuff & then some more. If you’re one of those who changes apps all the time because you either get bored or because you can’t find one that has everything you need in a productivity app, try AM. It can be a little overwhelming at first due to being SO customizable, but don’t get discouraged, their video tutorials are a lot of help, and so are their Subreddit & Facebook group. Customer service is A+
Amazing app for getting things done
I’ve tried a bunch of different apps (Todoist, Things 3, Clickup, Trello, and more) and am surprised Amazing Marvin isn’t getting more attention! It works great out of the box, and there are lots of helpful features you can add on depending on what works for you.
What I value is that unlike other apps that mainly just focus on to do list maintenance, Amazing Marvin has tools to help you plan and manage your time in a flexible way - for example, you can set up time blocks and add tasks to them. Highly recommended for people who could use some help with actually getting things done!
LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love amazing Marvin. I have been stuck in a lot lately. In fact, I think I’ve always been stuck in a rut. I have tried many organizing systems, whether they are in the physical form or in the digital form but none has ever stuck. That is where amazing Marvin comes into play, I love how amazing Marvin has all the options out there in one compact place and all you have to do is set the settings to work with the tools that work best with you or the fact that you can have fun experimenting. My favorite feature has to be the self-control, the procrastinator doctor, and the goals, and projects features.
Keeps me organized
The modularity aspect made it a winner over the thousand other apps out there. Instead of forcing you to organize your days a certain way it allows you to choose what works best for you.
The product is great - the app is lacking
The title says how I feel. Amazing Marvin is worth it if you’re going to use it for work and computer based projects and tasks.
For me, I use my task manager for everything from work to home to the boards I’m on to my role in church and with ADHD I’ve started adding every little thing… “make sure the kids are breathing” - ✅.
I need an app on the go with me. This ain't it.
Will there be an iPad update?
I get that the backend customization may be web only but once it’s built it’d be nice for the iPad to have the full screen & not just reduced to the phone format
Best Organization App
I’ve tried so many planners, task lists, and reminder apps, to help me organize, and they have never worked out for me. Amazing Marvin turned out to be just what I needed. There are so many ways to customize and setup your day depending on your preferences. If you have a lot to do, many projects, and things you need to remember - you can create a more involved system or it can be very straightforward and simple. It takes a little bit of time to get the shortcuts and strategies down. But once you do, it’s fabulous. Absolutely love this product. Thanks so much! 10/10
**The mobile app could use some updates. But overall, it works
Was good while it lasted
No updates in a long time, moving on.
No update in over 1 year
The app hasn’t been updated in over 1 year. Not a good sign.
Try Things 3 instead.
Lots of potential
If my focus was my personal productivity, I’d be all over this app. The way they approach productivity is novel and the flexibility of the design is appealing.
However, keeping things in line professionally is a much larger concern, and this app lacks out-of-the-box integrations with the tools I use at work.
I really wanted to dig in and do more, but can’t justify double-entry or spending the time setting up two-way sync with something like Zapier or Power Automate.
